Hey Y’all

Sending good thoughts your wife’s way. No one should have to deal with this shit. I look forward to your post giving us the amazing news that she’s officially in remission.

They really have. The chemo treatment is a 24 week one and it has a total remission success rate of 65%. There’s another 30% on top of that, which I can’t remember the phrasing or terminology of that they can’t quite qualify as a total remission, but the cancer is basically all at bay.
That's awesome

Sending our thoughts your way. You guys will be looking back on this soon as just another source of strength in your lives. She’s got this and you’ll do your part to help her through.

If you’re around Omaha and need to vent over a beer or something, just PM me.

Wow…….so very sorry to hear. MA and I will keep you guys in our prayers and our hearts. Also prayers for all of the medical staff that will be treating your wife.

Keep that positive outlook and know that you’ve got a lot of support right here.

.

I liked every post ITT except this one... cuz this one gets a "RUN THE DAMN BALL" response.

✊ Nebraska Power, fight cancer everyday. I pray for strength for your wife, your family and you. You can do it.

***If not religious here is a different song for you***

I always figured that the most sensible solution to dealing with difficult endeavors was to meet them in the A gap and drive them back at the LOS

Prayers to your family TC, my wife is a breast cancer survivor for 13 years now, did the chemo and radiation treatments, took a huge toll on her body but she was like, fuck it I’m going to kicks its ass. she was stage 3 on the cusp of stage 4 or however they say it. She was pretty damn close to being told there was nothing they could do. Our daughters were very young at the time and there was no way she was going to miss them grow up. Just watched our oldest walk the stage at graduation from UNL!!

all that to say, attitude means a lot, keep encouraging her, keep loving her, it’s a long road but you’re team kick cancers ass now!!

tPB has got you!!

Anyone have a “fix” for a crazy mother in law?
No Way Do Not Want GIF by Schitt's Creek

Go to the basement with your dog, close the door, turn the tv on, and watch whatever the hell is on because it's probably better than dealing with that

What's going on?

Long story short…

My whole family got Covid. Wife got sick on Christmas Eve. We were actually sick very little. My mother in law text me in basically these words “If you refuse to do things to protect your family like wear a mask and get vaccinated you will have to seek other accommodations.” So yes. My mother in law was basically trying to kick me out of my own house. That was two ish weeks ago.

Back story, my wife is a district manager for a retail outlet. She runs about 10 stores from Wichita all the way up to Sioux Falls. She would have been around thousands of people the two weeks before Christmas as she was in and out of stores those two weeks. Last week, 80 people in her district alone were sick with Covid.

So essentially, everything is my fault regardless of the logic or evidence.

Fast forward to Tuesday. Wife has first chemo treatment. She’s worn out and wants to sleep. That’s about all. But mother in law finds it necessary to stay at my house the last two nights. Why? No idea. There’s nothing for her to really do. You can cut the tension between her and I with a knife when she’s around.
