Down year? The kid that should have received it had way more yards than both Bama RB that got it. It’s turned into a joke. Has been for 15 years. Hunter didn’t even have close to the best WR or DB stats 😂😂😂😂😂😂 What was the criteria exactly???
Agree. The only reason Hunter won is because he was more marketable with the whole circus that is the Colorado program. The Heisman is a running joke now.

The awards are a popularity contest and a fucking joke. How Nick Nash doesn't win the Biletnikoff is a travesty. Hunter didn't even have the best stats in his own conference.

San José State's Nick Nash achieved the FBS receiving triple crown (4th person ever), leading the nation in receptions (104), receiving yards (1,382), and receiving touchdowns (16) during the regular season. He also topped the country with 8.7 receptions and 115.2 yards per game and added two passing touchdowns.

But yeah, Hunter was the best receiver...
I agree Biletnikoff should have gone to Nash or McMillan.

Another polished turd winner without the stats to back it up. Play both ways & ur guaranteed to win like Woodson going over manning & Randy moss.

Mark ingram won cuz they wanted “Alabama’s first heisman winner” & im guessing plenty of fuck Nebraska votes were behind it as well. It’s a joke of an award
My personal favorite is Hunter getting absolutely roasted by Stanford's wr last year and then pulling himself from the game.

I have no issues with Hunter winning the Heisman or the Walter Camp Award. Jeanty had a great year and was deserving but Hunter was impactful on both sides of the ball.

Huge issues with Hunter winning the Bednarik and the Lott IMPACT. Hunter was a long ways away from the nation's best defensive player this season.

Slight issue with Hunter winning the Biletnikoff, he was a top WR but in my opinion wasn't the best.

No way should She have gotten the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award over Cam Ward or Gabriel.
He was far from the best offensive player. 3 rec for 26 yards against gay st and 2 rec for 17 yards against lowly Arizona. Plus 1 tackle defensively in each game. While Jeanty ha Playstation numbers every game. No matter who you play that's impressive.

I agree, Hunter wasn't the best offensive player. But the Heisman and Walter Camp go to the best player and Hunter has a strong case there.

He shouldn't have won the Biletnikof or the Bednarik, but I'm ok with the Heisman and the Walter Camp.

Yeah but he was probably top 5 WR and top 4-10 CB. Being that in both is insane. Fuck Colorado but we shouldn’t down play how much a unicorn that kid is
Fair enough but when the opposing play has 2500 yards rushing and 30 tds it's kinda hard to make that argument. He ran for 200 yards and 3 tds and somewhere a ten year old kid threw his controller across the room and broke it when Oregon kicked a last second field goal. While Hunter had two very sub par games and that's being generous.

I don't have a problem with either Jeanty or Hunter winning it. But when you compare Shohei to Aaron Judge, you ask "well what's Judge's ERA?"

Same goes here, "how many ints, tackles and PBUs does Jeanty have?"

They play the same position and both bat though.

You're right that they both bat, but they don't play the same position.
Ohtani pitches and DHs.
Judge plays CF.

In 2022, Judge was clearly the better hitter. But Ohtani was unbelievable as a pitcher as well hitting decently. That's why it was a race for the MVP. Same with Jeanty and Hunter. Jeanty was the best offensive player hands down this year. But Hunter was top 10 on both sides of the ball. I haven't witnessed something like that in my lifetime. Both deserved the Heisman and it's a shame one had to lose.

Thought Ohtani played outfield when he doesn’t pitch.
