Grass in Memorial? Sounds possible

Dean thinks grass is a bad idea because they want to hold events in the stadium other than football. Don't tell that to all of the other venues around the country that have grass that host concerts and all other kinds of stuff.

Well, it’s a volleyball stadium now, so he probably had a point.

August and early September too hot for cool season grass to do great.

Late October and November is too cold for warm season grass to do great.

Nebraska is either in drought or flooding.

Nebraska installed Astro turf in 1970, which means 90% of Husker football historical success at home has NOT happened on grass.

Memorial Stadium is now large/tall enough where the field gets partial shade.

Memorial Stadium is not currently set up for grounds maintenance. (IE: irrigation system)

Given all of the above facts, it’s only natural that Nebraska fans want to spend money and convert the field to grass because we love a scapegoat to blame for our on the field pants shitting.

You can put in real grass.
You can put in tile flooring.
You can play on the moon.

We haven’t been losing because of the damn surface being played on. (except that Ireland game was fucked, which ironically was grass)

Sorry for being grumpy, I haven’t had coffee yet.

Saw that. Then there’s at least a dozen posters who responded along the line of “Tell that to Arrowhead/Wrigley/Mile High/etc. stadiums who have grass and host events all the time.”

Sean has not responded.

Of course he hasn't. He probably just banned them.
