Jurgens and Taylor Britt made great moves in declaring for the draft. CTB had been a quality player his entire time with Nebraska. Jurgy had the rockiest of starts with injuries, position switches and then the snapping disaster but had a solid year last year. Toure made his move from a small school to a Big 10 team to prove himself and he did. Great move that paid off for him. He also enters a good situation in GB because they really need WRs.

But.....what were some of these other dudes thinking?

Damion Daniels absolutely needed to test well to alleviate any concerns about his drive or fitness.......he did not.
Deontre Thomas could have been a sure starter this year to showcase himself after a completely pedestrian career at NU. Who told him to enter the draft?

Did both of them get bored of university life? They did spend 5 years in Lincoln. Did they not want to take post graduate courses? Were they tired of losing so much that they just said fuck it?

That brings us to Ben Stille. Had he entered the draft a year ago I'm sure he would have been drafted. Instead he came back to anchor our defense and had the most mediocre year. This dude basically played himself into the NFL....stayed in school....only to then play himself out of the draft discussion. I actually think of all the undrafted free agent signings that Stille will probably have the best chance of sticking with it and making a career because we all know what he can do......why he didnt do it on the field last year is a mystery.

JoJo Domann.......WTF? That dude made plays and works hard. Was his end of the year shoulder injury something really that bad to keep him undrafted? Literally every NFL team needs a guy like him who can cover different positions, because of the roster limits, and contribute on every special teams unit. This is a head scratcher.

Austin Allen had about as good of a year as he could of. He made tough catches and held on to the ball. Put up numbers. His testing was OK except for the strength. Why did the NFL sour on him?

Another overlooked mistake....Connor Culp. Had he gone for the NFL after last year when he was the Big 10 kicker of the year I'm sure he would have at least signed as a free agent. Now....I hope the dude got a degree in something he likes. Shouldn't have stayed. (it probably would have helped us too if he had left)

So in the end we have seen both dudes who should have stayed after this year and dudes that should have left after the COVID year. So many mistakes makes me wonder who is giving these guys their advice.

Jurgens going as high as he did shocked me.

Apparently the Eagles traded up for Jurgens because all of the top Guards got picked in the 1st round and they think he can play G right away and maybe develop into a C. (which... after 4 years of bad snaps, maybe he can but regardless)

I also thought Domann and and Allen would be at least 7th rounder types. Didn't think anybody else would get drafted tho, very overrated group.

I think a lot of those guys are gonna spend the rest of their lives regretting not playing the Wisconsin and Cockeye games. Could have easily won both and you sat out for literally nothing, won't ever get that back man. smh

The NFL doesn't trust Nebraska anymore. We as a program haven't produced enough quality talent for the NFL to take a random flyer on a late round pick. Jojo not getting drafted is probably more on Nebraska's development than Jojo himself.

“Could have easily won” is an incredibly laughable statement in literally any context as it relates to Nebraska Football under Scott Frost

idk man when you’ve already put five years in, I kinda get just giving it your best go in the NFL. Sure you could come back, but many probably want to either just catch on with a team and if not move on with their life. Coming back just draws it out, so I kinda get it for the “Covid senior” guys.

Fred, Jojo has a more extensive orthopedic history than most geriatrics so I understand why farmin May be in his future

You blockhead, the nfl didn’t sour on him there were just better sumbitchin players than a 6’10” 195 lb TE

I think that many of these guys are just ready to move on with life. Not sure who all graduated, but hope they at least have degrees. They are also leaving a program that hasn't seen a winning season since 2016.

I still think Domann and Allen make it as UFA's, even if they are practice squad players.

It’s his age. He’ll be 25 before he plays his first NFL preseason game. Some NFL teams have a philosophy they will not draft older players. I get that….I wouldn’t. I still thought he would get drafted late but I get why he didn’t. If he was 22 it’s a whole different deal.

Daniels needed one more year to prove he wasn’t a fluke. Would have been a monster this year as well. What’s crazy is if Daniels stays, Thomas probably stays, means Rodgers stays, we probably still pay Mathis the universe, and suddenly the sky isn’t falling. Don’t remember the Tony T and Oregon talks timeline but I’m gonna take a shot there and assume that probably plays a part. I think Rogers stays because he then isn’t expected to play NT and gets his wish of being in the rotation for D End. Daniels and Nash are your NTs and Nash gets one more year to learn. I could be wrong but I thought Thomas was a hand in the dirt edge guy. Lots of dots to connected there but I think Daniels is the center piece

I don’t think it has much to do with disrespect to us, we haven’t produced any overinflated busts that now have added skepticism. This class is probably similar to anything Bo produces minus Jurgens being a center.

Jojo’s medical history, stille probably has similar athleticism to most UDFA so why spend a 7th on him, & Daniels is a underdeveloped fatty who can’t get into playing shape. Jojo will be a UDFA that surpasses expectations, I bet Indy is psyched he didn’t get picked cuz I know NFL fans wanted him for his versatility

I was not surprised Cam and CTB went as high as they did. Also was not very surprised that Allen & Domann did not get drafted. Tons of medical concerns with Domann & he doesn't really have a position. Allen doesn't really excel at anything (poor speed & ability to get separation, poor strength, and before 2020 had a reputation for having hands of stone).

Its 100 percent directly because Nebraska hasnt produces, If Jojo was at Alabama Georgia or somewhere close to that level shit even Texas A&M he is drafted

So he plays 6-8 years in the League…he’ll be 33 at most. I don’t understand that. I think the injury history with multiple serious injuries is the bigger deal. One serious injury like David Ojabo and you drop 1 round. Multiple, and you’re labeled “injury prone.” Nikobe Dean dropped from top-20 into the 80’s for the same reason.
