I was at 1892 in Council Bluffs. I was shouting about the unmarked man on the back post for the entire bar to hear the full time. Extremely disappointing to have total shite defending end our World Cup. Zero excuse.

8 field players played a whole.hell of a lot of soccer over the last 12ish days. Really caught up with them today.

The reality.....
Holland was never even worried. This was a slow motion match for them. They had nothing to fear. Until we have players that can scare the big teams this is about as far as we'll get. Ferreria doesn't scare anyone.
The US had it's most accomplished and talented team. But our guys play at Leeds and Fulham while theirs play at Barcelona and Liverpool. Pulisic is a bench player at Chelsea. Matt Turner is the back up GK at Arsenal. While Gakpo for Holland will be sold by his club for about 90 million or more....to Real Madrid or one of the Manchester Teams. Which American player will be sold after this tournament?

I’m very harsh on goalkeepers. So I think there are breakdowns in communication that are Turner’s responsibility that could have prevented the goals.

I can agree with pieces of this post but vehemently reject the notion that talent lost us the match today. The match was not in slow motion for Holland. Not in the slightest.

I’ll have to watch the tape. But I really don’t recall a single one of their dangerous attacks starting down the flank. I really don’t think it was a single thing THEY did that made them dangerous to be honest. This quote is kind of like if Brian Ferentz talked about how great of a game plan he had for Nebraska in 2021.
