Frost Presser

This is the part that both scares me and excites me at the same time:

"It's not going to be easy. I've got to find somebody that I trust," he said. "I'm an offensive guy. I'm always going to have something to do with it. There's things about being a coach at Nebraska that I haven't been able to enjoy because of all the time I've been spending trying to fix problems and dig ourselves out of a hole and get the team better. And I spend a lot of time offensively too. Not that I didn't have the right guys. I can't say enough good about them. But I really need to be able to trust somebody. I'll still be involved, but that will take a lot off my plate and I think help me even better in some other areas."

The trusting them to me either means one of two things:
1. proven OC/play caller that has been successful
2. another "buddy" type hire of a coach he has past experience with (i.e. someone like Helfrich - not necessarily saying he would be bad, just more of the same)

A lot of those titles are just there to justify a pay raise though. I mean...they have co-offensive coordinators and an "associate head coach for the offense" WTH does that even mean....Lincoln Riley is the offensive coordinator lol
I get the Pay Raise/Title game. I was trying to slide something in for discussion, glad you caught it. Some coaches seem to be able to handle multiple areas like DC/Safeties while still excelling at both or in the case of Lincoln Riley he is the Head Coach, QB Coach and OC. He makes it work and has had a string of Heisman QBs while still being OC & Head Coach to go along with QB Coach. Some are just better than others at Multi Tasking.

God Flair is a mess

I’d be happy if the new OC could find a way to get our scholly WR and RBs on the field and our walk ons off the field
I concur.

It's one thing when a walk on turns out to be a real dude. Reimer is a current example. Brandon Reilly a good example. But it's pretty easy to see that Wyatt Liewer and Brody Belt aren't dudes. They don't belong out there vs power 5 competition.

I’m admittedly no expert, but I feel like our offense moved the ball well and there are often open guys who Amart doesn’t see because he can’t read defense or the offensive line doesn’t give him time - why do people want to completely overhaul the offense?

Again, uneducated opinion, but feels to me like if we had better protection and a fast blinker at QB, we’d really have something. Maybe someone with more expertise can point out where I’m wrong?
Problem is, Frost seems to be all-in on Martinez for next year & most likely whoever he gets coaching QBs won’t fix stupid. U can love AM for playing thru injuries every year but even if Frost takes over QBs, his praise of Mario’s work with Smothers/Haarberg, makes me think it’ll be exactly the same.

At this point…fuck off. You’re part of the problem.

I can’t imagine getting so hostile over a presser from a head coach to the point I swear at someone over something they have absolutely zero control over and accuse them of contributing to something they yet again have no control over.

I think we found HTO’s burner account.

I was curious if you could articulate why things are worse than you thought, as opposed to just repeating the same talking points over and over and over and over again in every thread.
They’re not talking points. Sorry the description of reality doesn’t suit your fairy tale.

He’s won 3 effing games this year and 15 total. How do you breathe with your head in the sand? @Mood4NU
Didn’t say I necessarily wanted him back but it’s the same topic & the same people saying the same shit every single day. I had grown tired of RSS because of that & now this board is there too.

He’s back for a year & if it doesnt go well you all get your way . Just chill for a while. In the meantime have fun rooting against the program so you can all be right

If he didn’t say dumb shit we wouldn’t have anything to pick apart
Lol every coach ever could be ticketed with saying dumb shit according to someone…. When you’re in front of the media every week there’s only so much you can say
