Frost close losses

Well I’m not saying that every snap was wonderful. But if I had to rate the OVERALL performance of each of the last six games as “played well” or “played poorly”, all six would go in the “played well” column for me. But I’m just a lowly window licker.
You are a window licker if thats your take. The last 2 games yes, played well outside of offense 50% of the game.

Do you just choose to not acknowledge the abysmal offense and special teams play at OU and MSU?

I already said I was a window licker, that is an established fact at this point…

MSU - I mean we had about 200 more total yards than them. Martinez completed 70% of his passes and we ran for almost 200 yards. We had zero business losing that game.

OU - 24 less yards than them. 11.6 yards per pass attempt. Rushing game was horrible, I will give you that.

special teams horrible in both games, but that’s why I said OVERALL.

So....your definition of overall excludes 2 of the 3 phases of the game?

Yards are pointless if you don't put points on the board.

"We matched Oklahoma in yards! But we only put 16 points on the scoreboard!"

See how fucking stupid that is?

We way out yardaged MSU, by double!

Where are the fucking points?

We played well enough to win both of those games. They are both against top 10 teams. To me that’s “playing well”. I suppose the defense playing elite makes up for the offense playing average or below average to shift the overall score to “played well”. Like if you make an A and a C, your GPA is a B average.

Dude, the offense has been garbage. The offense put the the defense in 3 automatic scoring possessions by field position alone tonight, and the defense gift wrapped a touchdown for the offense by getting them the ball at the what, 9 yard line?

Let's not even mention the never attempted field goal that would have been from the 10 yard line.

Sorry, the defense being B+ to A+ doesnt change the fact Scott's offense has been c- if not worse against teams that matter.

Chinander was supposed to be the weak link as far as the staff went, nobody as far as fans go thought he deserved the time of day at a power 5 school. His the unit is the sole reason these games have been 21-16, 29-26, etc. Instead of 49-10, 63-7, so on and so forth.

As a matter of fact, I don't really recall a single loss in the Scott frost era where it was obvious the offense scored enough points to warrant a win (such as 28+) but the defense didn't hold up.

The true test of Scott’s coaching ability will be next weekend against Minnesota and see if we will have a hangover from this loss with an early morning kickoff. He needs to start beating the teams we are supposed to beat and not play down to their level. I still feel that Scott will get his signature win this season either against tOSU or take down Cockeye and ruin their perfect season. If that happens, all will be forgiven.

We are really good. We are just 3-4

I don’t see anyway we take down OSU. They are a much better team than anyone we have played. Will you count Wisconsin even though their record won’t be great? The only signature win we have a shot at is Cockeye and I just don’t think we are mentally as tough as them to win the game.

I also didn’t tOSU losing to a poor Oregon team either, but that’s why we play the games and I’m sure OSU would like to play that game again as we would Illinois. Shit happens. As for Wisconsin, we should win that game if we keep improving and playing with a purpose, but it’s going to be a slugfest in their house. But in all honesty, we will probably drop one to either Purdue or Minnesota and it won’t matter about becoming bowl eligible anymore. I’m just glad that the prime time blowout losses have stopped compared to when Blo and Riley were here. My only fear is that when we lose our super seniors on defense next year is how bad the defense will regress.

It’s becoming pretty baffling to me the defense of Scott Frost. He’s 15-24 and 0-10 vs ranked opponents.

This “progress” I keep hearing about is real. However, it's progress from what? Progress from being completely inept and unable to do your job to competitive? You still aren't winning. 3-4. This team has no business being 3-4. They had no business being 3-5 last year, and they should have made a bowl a year prior. He consistently underwhelms and people want to keep that. It's really something.

OSU was finding itself then and Oregon is not a shit team. They would beat us. OSU has been getting better on a weekly basis. I just don’t see anyway we beat them with what they have on the line. We haven’t had any blowouts this year which is good, but we have had plenty every year under Frost up until this point.

I think it’s safe to say he’s back no matter what
I think another losing season casts some doubt especially if we play poorly down the stretch. If we lose our last three and have a couple blowouts it could get ugly.
