I'm optimistic with ST's, too. 1) It can't get much worse, and 2) returning kicker of the year, lots of athletic LB's and S's on the roster, which usually fill ST's, 3) more dedication to the 3rd phase - which is also scary that we weren't really taking it seriously before, 4) adding some strong legged deep ball kickers for kickoffs which is basically a prerequisite in big boy football now.

Until I see it on the field, I have no doubt we will either piss Illinois or Michigan State away, maybe both. I do like our history vs MSU and their style of offense makes me think we will win that game as long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot, which we often do.

BlowU is a definite loss. We *should" beat both Buffalo and Fordham .. if we don't, then I just give up.

I see 3-2 realistically, 2-3 is going to be another long season. I'd be elated with 4-1
If you have any investment advice, or general life lessons you would like to share, I’m eager to listen.

2-3. People really think we will only lose to Oklahoma by 7-14 points??? Maybe after the first quarter. We will lose by 28-31. 2-3 after the first 5.

I was wrong about OU, I thought they would play like a top 5 team.

Idk if this is crazy or not but I think that fat ass is gonna eventually make Illini a 7-5 to 8-4 team. Like 2023 or something.

I mean shit they should be able to easily recruit at a 7-5 level talent even historically being shit and having neighboring schools come into Illinois and take the top talent. Chicagoland + STL + rest of Illinois state + Indiana + wherever else you can get players = certainly a better location to recruit to than most in the midwest

Illinois has been 1 of the worst teams in the country for like 10+ years.

Bert is in season 2 and just beat Wisconsin and Cockeye back-to-back.

Give the new Chief of the Illini his due
When is the last time we beat Cockeye or Wisconsin? Oh yea it was during the Pelini years which is crazy.

Pelini did it 1 time in 4 years, except the one time was in 2012 and we ended up playing Wisconsin again in the Big 10 championship game….
