Also, sorry for derailing the Feb Recruiting thread. Times are slow and making fun of Prime is easy

Prime might succeed at CU but I feel Rhule is building an incredibly stable foundation for our program. If he doesn't succeed it won't be from a lack of effort and planning. Also if he moves on he will leave us in a much better place. If Prime moves on who knows what condition he will leave CU in.

the main difference is that Rhule seems to be building in a way that will benefit the program and future NU coaches.

Prime is building Prime U and it will all collapse when he leaves, which will be sooner rather than later

Anybody see more than 3, 4 wins max for the Puffs? It's not like they're going 11-1, a year after going 1-11. It's a complete rebuild.

Sept. 2 at TCU

Sept. 9 vs. Nebraska

Sept. 16 vs. Colorado State

Sept. 23 at Oregon

Sept. 30 vs. USC

Oct. 7 at Arizona State

Oct. 13 vs. Stanford

Oct. 28 at UCLA

Nov. 4 vs. Oregon State

Nov. 11 vs. Arizona

Nov. 17 at Washington State

Nov. 25 at Utah

For those who wanted Prime, can we all agree that we are happy we don’t have to deal with that?
I never wanted Prime. I actively argued against him citing no FBS experience, much less Power 5 or Big Ten. He had *less* of a head coaching resume than Frost did.

But I will admit there was a brief moment when it looked like our top options were Monkey Tits or Bronco Mendenhall, I was like “Fuck it. Might as well give Deon a shot, see if we can catch lighting in a bottle.”

And yes, everything I’ve seen and heard from him at CU makes me glad we don’t have to put up with that.

Foley calls Warren Academy

Steve Warren, the former Husker who runs the Warren Academy, says he got a call recently from NU assistant Ed Foley, who just wanted to introduce himself and say he would be in touch.

Warren said that was a first from the NU staff.

That’s another savvy (and obvious) move by Foley and Rhule.
Warren knows the pulse of not only the top players in the state, but also the ones with the most growth potential. And he’d love to help.

I was thinking about that today when I saw this tweet -
