Anyone have a former/current Husker you thought would be awesome that never panned out but you still loved regardless?

Mine - Frankie London

I was always convinced he was going to pop off at some point, for some reason. Then switches to WR and has a total of 1 yard rushing/receiving his senior year. Didn't matter - still top 10 husker all time in my book.

I loved me some Frankie London. I was convinced he was the next Tommie Frazier. 8th grade me started writing a letter to TO to tell him he should put London in over Frost after the ASU debacle in '96.

39 y/o me should now write a letter to TO and tell him and his TC buddies to stop meddling with the program. RUN THE BALL!! Did I do that right?

Jamayall Phillps (sp? on first name) That big ole offensive lineman never really got it going on the field but he would pop onto the Rivals Board and say hi to us plus answer some questions. Seemed like a chill dude. Always liked interacting with him. Can you imagine how much trouble a current player would get in for doing that?

Chris Septak - big recruit at the time. The offseason hype articles said that offense and defensive assistants were arguing if he should play TE or DE. He played neither. I think he was injury prone.

Deante Grixby - Courtney‘s older brother. Charlie McBride used to hype up his scout team work like he was Barry Sanders.
