Favorite Loss Ever?

I was at that game. The entire crowd, including Cockeyes St. fans, were in shock at the end.
That team had no business losing to Cockeye State. Honestly the only game they should have lost that year was Texas Tech. My favorite year as a Husker fan since 01.

I think 2010 had more bad losses than 09. That 10 team should have been no worse than a 1 loss big 12 champion.

I can't consider any losses from the last 23 years' favorites as the huskers have been the definition of mediocre during that time span.

My favorite loss was the 94 Orange Bowl or the loss to #2 Washington in 1992. You could see the huskers were on the precipice of greatness at that point.

Agreed. Even when Frost teams play someone close, I just expect them to lose. I don't find any solace in any of their close losses considering there are so many of them.

In the TO years, it seemed like in the 80's there was a ceiling they had when matched up against FSU and Miami. You could see them turning the corner in 92 and 93 with some of their closer losses. I don't see signs of the current regime turning a corner.

2009 had a national championship defense and the worst offense I’ve ever seen.

2010 had a really good offense (until Martinez got hurt and people figured out to stack the box on him), and a very very good defense.

2010 is probably the better team, but 2009 was more fun IMO. Both lost games they shouldn’t have in typical Bo fashion - dropping 2010 Texas was inexcusable.

For the 2010 team. That 2010 team should be the baseline for how talented Nebraska teams should be.

Grew up around a bunch of them. And they were all mostly huge fuck buckets. Easy to hate.

Same with me and Cockeye fans. They made it so personal back then when Nebraska and Cockeye truly never crossed paths. So it’s even more personal now. I set aside that day every year and I excuse all of my terrible behavior for that 24 hours.

I've been to Manhattan 3 times - the maddening 98 and 00 losses but fortunately returned for the 2010 Martinez Track Meet.

KSU fans are complete trash and Manhattan is a fitting setting for them.
