Given we've had a fair run of losing, I got to thinking about what game was my favorite loss...if that is actually possible? I've landed on the 2006 loss to Texas. Was at the game, incredible atmosphere, 10 minute blizzard, and had the game wrapped up until that first down catch and fumble by Terrance Nunn.

So here we are, at the lowest point in Husker FB history in the modern day AND given that we will be back in the 'ship this year, what say you?

While it was a crushing loss that still haunts me, the 94 Orange Bowl made me believe that we were on the verge of championships.

Nebraska was a 17 point underdog. I thought they'd lose but keep it to a TD or so. However, once the game started NU was the aggressor and FSU was rattled. Turd played out of his mind with one arm, Tommie outplayed Charlie, the offense started to move the ball and I thought we had them. We outplayed them and ultimately got screwed by bad calls.

Sucked to lose but you could tell this was a different team.

Great pick here. Felt the same way.

For one that I attended in person it would have to be 2000 vs KSU in Manhattan. That was an all around fun game from start to finish and a close loss 29-28. Started sleeting then snowing like a motherfucker in the 4th quarter. Nebraska had a chance to get into field goal range but crouch missed his receiver on 4th down (badly overthrown)

It was tough to type that out because 99% of grape fans were unbearable douches in that era, most if not all still are. @slattimer Can attest to that statement.

Grapes suck. We had a shit ton of signs in our yard from grape dbags after they finally beat us in 98

For sure Oklahoma last year. Give the window lickers false hope

This is hard for me bc I don’t really care if we lose now, so it’s hard to compare emotions from this era to when we were decent to great.

Honestly, Michigan 2021. Felt like we finally lived up to a big, big stage that night. Was a blast to watch, and an absolute dick punch at the end obviously. But a lot of fun to watch the back and forth in the second half. I'd probably say 2000 natty after that but I only remember bits and pieces of that game.

Time to check your feels back in…you can do it. Husker football still loves you, go ahead, open up your heart, and love it right back.

…so your soul can be crushed again.

Yeah that game almost had me believing again. Almost.

Yeah the problem is I just can’t believe in Frost anymore. Once he gets fired and they hire someone new maybe I’ll get my hopes back up.
