Feels like another year of me getting excited due to the return of the defense, what should be an improved o-line, a better receiving group, a quarterback who should be better and hopefully better play all around…and then that bitch Lucy, pulls the ball away at the very last minute and I’m hurling through the air again on my way to another year of laid out on my back suck fest.

If you really want my best case for a winning record…

ESPN had an article out awhile ago that had us as having a better than 50% win probability in 6 of our first 7.

We SHOULD start 4-1. This is the most talented team we’ve had since 2010. Get to 4-1 and then Michigan will have to deal with a ranked Husker team in Lincoln and likely in a night game. That gets you to 5-1 and all the momentum in the world. Then can you win 2 more from there? I say yes.

That 7th game is against Minnesota. While I am of the opinion that loss to them last year is the worst loss in the Frost era, this year is a new year. If you’re 5-1, that Minnesota game isn’t as big of a task as it was previously. I know that some think Minnesota is a dark horse here, but they were awful on defense last year. I know they bring everyone back this year there, but you know who else brought back a lot of guys from a terrible defense the year before? The 2018 Nebraska cornhuskers.

People forget the Purdue game that Minnesota won that the refs literally gifted them as well.

Getting to 6-1 with this schedule is 100% doable.

Honestly I think you’re correct. I do believe this is the year they put it all together.
