I worked most Saturdays growing up so other than the score I usually had to wait until Sunday breakfast at my grandparents to read the Sunday World Herald to find out the details of the game.

I have stacks of my grandpa’s Husker Illustrated magazines from the ‘80s and ‘90s. And a big feature of the magazines was a drive-by-drive description of the previous Saturday’s game, because obviously the vast majority of their readers did not see the game. Different times.
