Benning made the point we all know this. We really don’t need anymore articles stating the obvious. His question is how does this get fixed? Benning and Severe wouldn’t come out and say it point blank when I listened, but it seems they don’t think Frost can figure it out. I think a lot of people on this board have been thinking this for awhile.

I just can’t imagine he has some miracle epiphany In year 5 and starts getting the details instilled that lead to wins in close games.

Here is my question. Let’s say he wins 6 games next year with a weaker schedule how can Turd see that as real progress? Does Turd say you need to win at 8 plus games? Frost is going to win 3-4 this year and it still seems like he is will survive which is a fucking joke.

That Monday show was top tier..

I would be curious what Damon thinks the problem is.. He hints but never directly says anything.

I get the sense he thinks it is more about handling of the kids day to day. That it isn't about x's and o's or talent.

I do think Damon and mike'l taking this approach makes their show the best. Josh Peterson and the afternoon show just complain and it is intolerable.

6 games with next year's schedule is the equivalent of winning 2 or 3 games with this year's schedule

Turd is ultra conservative and I don't think he would fire any coach in year 1 + Turd will consider this year's schedule is probably the hardest schedule in Nebraska football history.

Not hyperbole: Nebraska has already played 3 top 10 teams and 3 of the next 4 teams on the schedule are ranked and the only unranked school is Wisconsin and the game is in Madison. Ohio State is ranked 5th and Cockeye is ranked 11th and will very likely be a top 10 team when we play them. 5 of the 10 Power 5 games we played this season will be vs. Top 10 schools. It is NOT an excuse for Frost but Turd will 100% take this into consideration.

for example in 1993 Nebraska's schedule: 2 ranked teams, none inside top 15.

North Texas
Texas Tech
at UCLA
Colorado St.
at Oklahoma St
Kansas St
Mizzou
at #20 Colorado
at KU
Cockeye State
#16 OU

compare this with 2021 Nebraska: 6 ranked teams, 5 inside top 15.

at Illinois
Fordham
Buffalo
at #3 OU
at #9 Michigan St
Northwestern
#6 Michigan
at Minnesota
#25 Purdue
#5 Ohio St
at Wisconsin
#11 Cockeye

Would 1993 Nebraska go 12-0 with this schedule? Maybe, they were a lot better coached and had a lot more talent. I'm just saying Turd will 100% factor this year's schedule into his evaluation of Frost.... but that being said if next year with a relative cake walk and year 2 of Turd as AD a 6-6 season would be lights out for Frost.

TL;DR Schedule this year much hard. Schedule next year no hard. Frost must win mucho games in 2022 or he gone in Turd AD year 2.

That’s how I see it. Benning is pissed off about the way Betts is being handled. I haven’t listened to the idiots in the late afternoon forever. I listen to Bahe and Shick. You can tell they think Frost is in over his head but haven’t went all the way yet.

I get that. The problem is you need to beat teams like Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue to show actual progress. It’s also not asking too much to win a game against a team like Wisconsin who is down this year. If we lose out even with the tough schedule Frost should be fired.

I think Benning, Sevre and Bahe believe that Frost is the correct HC but he (like so many before him) hired his buddies instead of the best coaches he could and that’s biting him in the ass with development and recruiting.

I think this season has been a good indicator to everybody that the system can work here but needs better players and better development. Doesn’t have to be Alabama talent, just 1 or 2 OL who actually do their job and an average RB who can get you 100 yards a game.

I think Austin, Held and Verduzzi are gonna be gone.

Bahe maybe. I don’t think Benning has ever been sold on Frost. I also don’t think Severe believes in him at this point. Bahe made a good point weeks ago when he said if you had to chart bad moments vs good moments and he basically had nothing on the good side. I think Bahe really wants Frost to work, but he certainly has doubt.

Ya you can tell he isn't happy about that. There is a ton that I feel we don't know about that situation.

On the sort of reverse of that if we go 2-2 or better I’d assume Turd gives him an extension. (Not even joking)

Or if Betts transfers

I’d assume there would be some big airing of laundry
That’s a good possibility. That would be pretty damning. It’s weird if it’s about grades because he still plays some. You would think he wouldn’t play at all then. All I know is the guy makes plays when the ball is in his hands. He is another offensive player not being utilized properly it appears.
