We absolutely need bodies both on DL and OL. Guys are gonna get hurt. On that we agree, but RRS’ers think he’s gonna “start after a couple games.” He hasn’t been involved in a organized football activity since fall 2021 and 0 at Nebraska.

But learning the defense will take quite a while. I imagine they will use him in 3rd and long initially, and hopefully he can acclimate more as the season progresses.

As long as he’s ready by the start of the meat of the Big Ten schedule I think it’s a win for both parties.

I'm less concerned about his conditioning than I am about learning the scheme and terminology, but more than anything - how will he mesh with new teammates, Dawson and Chins in what's left of fall camp?
