Any truth to the rumor on X that Dannen is trying to force Pavelka out for Crooks? That would be a bad look IMHO

I loved listening to Kent as a kid.
1st and 10, Frazier under center, Phillips in the I, the snap the ball and Frazier hands off to Phillips. There’s a huge hole and Phillips runs for a huge gain and is tackled by Smith it’s now 2nd and 8

I feel like Kent’s calls on the radio really got you revved up on every single play like a 2 yard run was a TD. Greg really painted a picture like you were watching the game so, to me they were two different styles of calls, and I loved both of them, like they would have made a GREAT team up with Greg being the announcer and Kent being the color analyst. It will be another really sad day when Kent is done with Basketball. Not much that's more fun than watching the 1995 orange bowl against Miami synched up with the radio broadcast. I thought ol Kent was going to have a stroke/heart attack. I miss him calling the football games. Greg Sharpe grew on me but I'll always consider Kent the best.
Agreed, Swain was about as exciting as a wet napkin. Hell even compared to him Jim Rose wasn’t too bad. I remember his calls when we played Texas specifically, he would get pretty exciting.Kent had the impossible job of following Lyle Bremser, but he did alright. 80's KP was the best KP, starting sounding a little contrived and over the top at the end of his run...but any Kent was better than Warren Swain.
One of my faves from Kent is the 1991 OU/NE game on the final drive and Calvin Jone's final TD. Tried finding it on YT a moment ago, but could only find the TV broadcast.
