You don't suffer through watching that much man on man action unless you're seriousDon't get too excited he'll either fuck us last second or he'll come and forget how to coach.View attachment 32207

Would be interested in some numbers from the last 13 years.
When he said this we did not have Raiola and Satt was looking for a portal guy to carry the water while Kaelin was developed and was trying to close on Manske to follow Kaelin. If, per Rhule, Satt will for sure be the OC, this would require Holgerson just be a position coach, which seems unlikely. Maybe he would just be an analyst for a year while he is paid by Houston?

In short order Raiola became the de facto QB1 and the portal guys Satt was vetting were no longer in the equation, plus Purdy left. And the odds of Manske coming here went down as well. The whole continuity concern Rhule had changed significantly, and instead it became important to max out the Raiola opportunity.
Not saying Satt is going for sure, but Nebraska football is in a vastly different place than when Ruhle said those things.
That's why Satt participating in closing on transfers this weekend is puzzling given DH was introduced. He is the guy that really should be leaving if we have DR and can get DH and Thomas. To be honest, you could be in a situation the next 6-8 years where your QBs last name is Raiola and not see too much of a drop off.
Sorry, but Satt as your QB/OC simply doesn’t cut the mustard for dudes like that.
Wonder if Dom had any say. They let things play out and said pass, but eventually came back. I hope there were stipulations on the table for his commitment. That's why Satt participating in closing on transfers this weekend is puzzling given DH was introduced. If things improve this year - which they will - Satt just looks worse . It can't be a good career move to stay, Taking the two years severance and letting Rhule network to help you get a new job really seems the best outcome for Satt IMO.
I'm sure Dom has/had OPINIONS on the OC, but Rhule just doesn't seem like the kind of head corch to let a croot dad - even as important as this one is - to tell him how to staff his organization. I agree with Carm: if Rhule goes there, it's because he sees that the ground has shifted and the previous org structure plan needs to change to reflect the current and future reality. Whether Satt is part of that equation ... I dunno.Wonder if Dom had any say. They let things play out and said pass, but eventually came back. Kind of feels like DR wants to be Mahomes so he wants a college coach from the same tree as Kkngsbury.Wonder if Dom had any say. They let things play out and said pass, but eventually came back. I hope there were stipulations on the table for his commitment.
Sipple’s posts suggest you might be right . . .When he said this we did not have Raiola and Satt was looking for a portal guy to carry the water while Kaelin was developed and was trying to close on Manske to follow Kaelin.

What post was that?Sipple’s posts suggest you might be right . . .
So they were legit bc you lived in Stillwater or was it bc you lived in Stillwater that you were better able to watch their offense and read stats than everyone else in the country that had a tv and the internet?I lived in Stillwater when he was OC at OK St and that offense was legit. It would be an incredible hire for sure.
Go 92-69 as a HC with three Top 20 finishes. So what did he do the last 13 years?
That seems alright. Was he fired as a HC? No idea where he was and google isn’t my friend.Go 92-69 as a HC with three Top 20 finishes.
But he wouldn’t be HC here, which is why that poster gave his resume as an OC.
