I've got to believe it played out differently than what he thought. DB is a good guy. Other than his cryptic comments I've never heard a negative thing about him. Hard to put yourself in his shoes having a friend acting that way. My initial reaction would be to think the storyline must be screwed up.

Mickey said in the police report that he didn't punch her. Maybe he talked to DB and denied the story.

I’d bet DB got the story from Steve Taylor whose house Mickey ran to. I’d doubt that Mickey was able to contact DB. They do let you write down phone numbers when they book you in (I mean… not that I know 👀) So maybe Mickey called him from jail? Not likely though.

Imo if he didn’t have all the details he shouldn’t have said anything.

What would the reaction be if this was Frost with the assault and Matt Davison said what DB said this morning on the radio?

But he based it off his own experience which was the chick going crazy on him and he grabbed her wrists (assuming that's true).

I don't know him personally but I know several people that do and they never have anything negative to say. I truly think he just got the story wrong whether it was from Micky himself or another person there.

Damon acted like he knew more about the situation than the rest of us throughout the entire interview. If he actually knew then his crypticism about it was inexcusable given what happened.

What does that mean? Sounds like a reference to infidelity to me. And if he was talking about Mickey being not faithful then it says a lot about Damon’s character being close friends with him. Him and Mickey were going to get dinner together last night he even said.

I mean - things look very different for Steve Taylor today than they were with all of those rumors last night.

Maybe “let the facts play out” was for everyone involved, not Mickey.

I don’t know who they were for, and I don’t care. What I do know is that the jackasses that perpetuated the Taylor rumor, or conjured it are pieces of shit based on the police report. Those people should be beaten with a rubber hose.

I agree he shouldn’t have said anything looking back. I honestly think DB was trying to add to the overall conversation rather than try to mislead people. He was extremely emotional on the radio. That was pretty obvious. People in an emotional state are rarely clear and concise. Since Damon rambles in a normal setting, I wouldn’t expect him to be more succinct today.

I get it if you dislike Damon and just want to use this to pile on, but I would have an equally hard time if I was in his shoes.

I can still post like a dullard, even when sober as a judge. Sometimes, my own stupidity just rises up outta nowhere and smacks me in the face. You think I'd know better at this point in life's journey, but nope.

I remember when LP died. DB was obviously close to him and I empathize with him losing a friend, even if that friend was troubled.

I listened to DB that morning to hear his eulogy of LP and I came away confused AF. I came in wanting to put this thing in perspective and left thinking I just watched a David Lynch movie.

Sometimes he takes you on too long of a walk and forgets where the fuck he's taking you. Embrace brevity DB.
