Really? that's too bad. My wife has been eyeing the new Wilderness editions for a little while now but it also nice not having any car payments either.
I've owned more than couple in my life. My most recent one is a '25 outback and its a nice vehicle when out of the shop. But I've got my share of complaints and plenty of use of the warranty.

Not sure what Damon's issue is..but out of the shop the infotainment and the eyesight are terrible. I'd take my old Outback in a heartbeat.

Also the 2026 outback redesign might be the ugliest car since a Pontiac Aztek

I think he's just not good with technology like a lot of us older guys. Put my 9 year-old niece in there and she'd have it figured out in no time.

I can see what you are saying about the redesign I don't understand why the manufacturers want to make everything look like a Mack Truck in the front.

We've had 3 Subaru Outbacks in a row, and really can't complain about them, all were my wife's car. I had a Toyota Tacoma Pickup truck which had issues, then a Chevy Traverse (engine was crap) and now a Honda Ridgeline, that I really love.

My favorite car I ever owned was a 1976 Datsun 280Z brand new off the lot, inline 6 cylinder that flew .....

He's had it for a little while now and still trying to figure out how it all works. I don't blame him though my wife has one and everytime I would drive it was constantly beeping at you. Luckily she figured out how to turn it off.
Women are generally bad drivers.
The enhanced features would definitely be annoying af for a man.

I bought an '08 Outback L.L. Bean edition with 125k miles on it for $3k cash wThen we moved to CO. I plan on driving it into the ground.
We bought all three of ours as dealer cars with less than 5K and put 100k + on each of them, the last one we are still driving with just a ways over 100K, wife who is now retired also doesn't put many more miles on it, and the dealer keeps trying to have us sell to them, because it is in mint condition with all dealer repairs and maintenance.

The Ridgeline though has been the bomb. Bought it new in 2023, and am so happy with it. Getting as high as 27mpg with it. Tows like a breeze, comes factory wired for it. That 6 cylinder in it is a flame thrower, with an 8 gear transmission. I get that it won't work for real worker bee truck stuff, only has 5k load ability, but if you just want a truck for the things it can do, this is so much better than the Toyota Tacoma I had or the Ford Ranger.
