Daily Weather Thread

Sounds like a metaphor.

My uncle was a cabinet maker. Incredible craftsman I didn’t appreciate until after his passing.

He and my aunt would often go with my family on camping and fishing trips with their camper. He frequently referred to ‘Making cabinets’ when they’d go to the camper, resulting in a laugh from my mom and dad. I didn’t understand the response until I was 11 or 12 and walked in on them ‘Making cabinets’ on one of our trips.

I’ve never looked at cabinets the same way again and every time I see a Shetland pony, I think of my uncle.

I’m in Dundee and basically nothing happened here. Was fully expecting to be without power for like 2 weeks.

How bad? My in laws live in the highlands, just wondering if I need to call them.
I live in the Highlands, backyard is the golf course. It's not good bubs

Might be I noticed some of the ground cover up on the mountains starting to change colors about a week or so ago. Some of the tops of the Aspens up high have started to lighten up the last couple days too. A few more warm days this week then cooling down and rainy the next.

I hope so...I'm sick and tired of the humidity and heat....and the wet bulb....

Should have mentioned some of the animals too. A lot of geese on the lake already. Our locally bear has been very aggressive lately too. He gave us a snort and a little charge the other night while we were trying to chase him off from our trash luckily we were on the deck about 4ft high.

Thats like saying you had a head start running from Usain Bolt.
True, we definitely pushed our luck that night. Usually the motion light comes on and you give him a yell he hauls ass. Not that night though he was determined to get to the trash can and wouldn't leave. Finally had to get a pan and big spoon to make a loud enough noise to scare him off.

The deck is around 4ft at the base probably 7ft at the rail but I have seen him scale our back fence which is around the same height pretty easily balance on top of it and look back at us like FU before too.

We keep the bear spray and my pistol ready just in case too.
