Naturally my kids’ daycare made the proactive decision at 4am to close today due to the deteriorating road conditions.

It’s almost as if the shitty company that owns them has a vested interest in closing whenever possible, since they don’t issue tuition credits and also don’t have to pay their already underpaid hourly staff.

My only time as Beaver Creek about 25 years ago we got about a foot of fresh powder overnight and the next morning was like heaven

A lot of the locals prefer Beaver Creek. It's less crowded and you can get up pretty quick with the gondola by the Westin, get a few runs in and head home. I was just thinking if you haven't been here in 25 years the Westin wasn't even there then huge hotel with residences now close to the main entrance to Beaver Creek technically Avon but they still call part of Beaver Creek.

Monday-Wednesday temps look brutal. -25 to -30 wind chills at 9 am Tuesday morning.

It sucks outside. Scooped the sidewalk. Thankfully the wind is supposed to calm down after today. -18 would suck a lot worse Thursday am with any wind.
