Maverick Noonan (per Mongo)
“Not too much is changing for me. Still 100% committed I don’t know much about coach Rhule. I am excited to get to know him some more.”

Ben Brahmer (per Mongo)
“I don’t know coach Rhule personally so once I get a chance to speak with him I will know more. I probably won’t take another visit (to Nebraska).”

Dylan Rogers (per Mongo)
“I am still committed. I am trying to see what they are going to do with the staff. I heard that coach Rhule turns schools around in a good way.”

Riley van Poppel (per Mongo)
“I am excited and anxious all at the same time. The bottom line is that I still want to be a Husker, and I want to get on the phone with Matt Rhule and talk with him, obviously, and definitely get back to Nebraska when I have a chance. I am also interested to see and hear about how he fills out the rest of his staff and see if any coaches are retained.

“My season is still going and we will be playing next weekend for sure. I know that all of the commits are coming back on the 9th, but there is a chance that could be the weekend we play for the state title. That’s two weeks away though and we will see how this plays out.”

Dwight Bootle (per Mongo)
“Let’s go! It’s a super thumbs-up from me!”

Gunnar Gottula (per Mongo)
“I am excited to meet coach Rhule and get to work with him! I am still committed and still planning on enrolling early at Nebraska. As for official visits, I plan on taking another to Nebraska and that’s it.”

Sam Sledge (per Mongo)
“I have been and remained locked in as a Nebraska commitment. I look forward to meeting Matt Rhule and hearing about the plans that he has for Nebraska. All of the commits are planning on taking another official visit back to Lincoln on December 9th.

“My family and I have a family friend that played for Coach Rhule at Baylor. Our friend is now in the NFL and he’s shared that coach Rhule is strict, but that is needed to get Nebraska back.”

Arnold Barnes (per Mongo)

“I woke up this morning and everything that I heard was true, Nebraska just hired Matt Rhule to be the head coach. There are a lot of worries about what will happen with the current staff since there is a new head coach, but I am excited! I really don’t know much about coach Rhule and I will be coming back to Nebraska with all of the other commits on December 9th.”

Malachi Coleman

Jaidyn Doss (per Mongo)
“I just got a text with the news. Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about it right now. I am going to have to sit down with my parents and Nebraska of course and discuss it. It will be important to see who his staff will be and if any coaches are retained.”

The same GornDawg who use to Troll Nebraska fans with his write ups. He'd write up and interview with a Cali recruit and talk about how much the recruit loved his visit to Nebraska and the coaching staff. Mention that we are definitely one of the leaders. And then his last sentence would always have some backhanded bitch slap in there with a comment like "but he'll be hard to get away from USC". So our fans went from excited to quickly being pissed off. He just loved riling up Husker Fans, and was good at it. We'd catch him checking back on his posts a bunch of times. You'd look at his profile and it would say he was viewing the post.

Gorn Dong. Dudes a clown

It’s obvious Mick is a good coach, Nebraska guy and recruiter. But, does he fit what Rhule WANTS in his staff? Everyone needs to be pulling in the same direction. Is Mick gonna bitch and moan to the teacher if things aren’t going as he’d like? That’s going to fuck with Rhules culture. Same as if it’s a player from prior regime bucking the system.
Do I think Mick would/will do this? Possibly, he ratted on Frost. He has a sense of entitlement.
Is Mick gonna go rogue and become an issue if he doesn’t like how Rhule is running HIS program? That’s my concern. Not doubting Micks abilities as a coach. Doubting fit with new staff. Only Rhule knows this so……

I guess we’ll find out when the Head Coach makes his decision.

Rhule needs to build his staff. If Mick or other current staff members work with Rhules plan? Great. Hopefully, Rhule isn’t being persuaded by outside sources. This Coach needs to be the captain and make his own decisions with staff. Hopefully, all the old timers stay out of his way and let him do his job.
