What is stupid is that even if we had knocked off Purdue in OT and had that same stat to add to our resume, we’d still be on the outside looking in. I think we could make a run in the B1G tourney, lose in the championship game to finish 20-15, and still get snubbed.

We’re better in every record/quad rating than 11-17 OSU, yet they are #71 NET and we are #88. Totally flawed system that claims to value wins and quality wins, yet let’s it’s own algorithm devalue what it claims to measure.

Then 2 starters got hurt & we had to open up the offense, we struggled thru January but then gelled in February & are currently now playing as well as anyone in the county
Unless someone has eyeballs on us (which few will), we have to probably find at least 2 more Ws this yr to make the post season
The NIT wants full arenas & that will work in our benefit bc if we get a home NIT game, it will sell out (no other schools will sell out an NIT game

You don’t remember a few years back when Nebraska was ranked #1 in the early season NET rankings bc we won a couple games over terrible teams by 50 points each?
We knew it was a flawed system then
We won’t make the NCAAs but hopefully the NIT tournament committee wants a full PBA arena to cash in on. Nebraska’s fan support may help us here bc we won’t have the resume to be a top 4 NIT seed. Right now the NIT bracketolgy doesn’t even have us in.
Wisconsin, Penn St & Michigan are the only big10 teams projected to make the NIT
Probably need Penn St to lose out & we need to win Tuesday & find 1 or 2 in the big10 tournament
