Nobody does but it’s provocativeAnyone know how these quad wins work?
yes…just yesWhat is stupid is that even if we had knocked off Purdue in OT and had that same stat to add to our resume, we’d still be on the outside looking in. I think we could make a run in the B1G tourney, lose in the championship game to finish 20-15, and still get snubbed.
We’re better in every record/quad rating than 11-17 OSU, yet they are #71 NET and we are #88. Totally flawed system that claims to value wins and quality wins, yet let’s it’s own algorithm devalue what it claims to measure.
So you’re saying Frost would be thrivingthe only thing I can definitely say NET values is losing to good teams
The NET factors in margin of victory & margin of lossesWhat is stupid is that even if we had knocked off Purdue in OT and had that same stat to add to our resume, we’d still be on the outside looking in. I’m surprised the tournament weighs so heavily on a system like this. For postseason play in literally every other sport, the only thing that matters is winning. The NET factors in margin of victory & margin of losses
We don’t blow anyone out in wins but get blown out in losses
Thsts why the NET hates us
It’s a hard team to figure out. Early in the yr we scored like a girls basketball team but played great defense
Then we kinda started playing well winning with defense but the schedule wasn’t friendly
Then 2 starters got hurt & we had to open up the offense, we struggled thru January but then gelled in February & are currently now playing as well as anyone in the county
Unless someone has eyeballs on us (which few will), we have to probably find at least 2 more Ws this yr to make the post season
The NIT wants full arenas & that will work in our benefit bc if we get a home NIT game, it will sell out (no other schools will sell out an NIT game
You don’t remember a few years back when Nebraska was ranked #1 in the early season NET rankings bc we won a couple games over terrible teams by 50 points each?I’m surprised the tournament weighs so heavily on a system like this. For postseason play in literally every other sport, the only thing that matters is winning.
Hell, Nebraskas powerpoints system is better than that.
Should probably only factor in winning. Because that’s all that matters.
