Costco Membership

Costco is a little better overall, but also worse in some ways. Like Costco needs to get it in gear with their mobile app. You can't scan & go to checkout with your phone like you can with the Sam's app, and you can't use your phone at the gas pumps. I think Sam's tends to have more name brand options overall, while Costco leans pretty heavily on their Kirkland brand.

But Costco's online shopping experience is definitely better (Sam's doesn't have free shipping on most things unless you pay extra for their Plus membership), and Costco's unlimited return policy is sweet. I just dropped a couple grand on a new leather sofa that I ordered through Costco.com, partly because that return policy also applies to furniture. Like if you decide you want to return it, they'll come pick it up.
Costco's cereal selection and coffee selection are definitely not as good as Sam's but overall, I prefer Costco.

They also changed up the layout in our Sam's where I live, and I hate the new layout but I'm sure those opinions vary.

Have access to both and use costco way more despite it being significantly further away

It's been at least a decade since I bought cereal, but IME the coffee selection at Costco wins pretty easily over Sam's. Mainly because it's fresher, Sam's carries a bunch of brands that leave shit sitting in a warehouse for fuck knows how long, while Costco has more brands that are decently fresh. It can be a problem with Sam's in general, TBH: I've seen a lot of stuff sitting out on the pallets that's rather close to its expiration date.

One other thing I don't like about Sam's is that the grocery section is too heavy on the junk food. Costco has a better selection there, though on some things I've seen better prices from Sam's.

Kirkland anything is usually pretty legit.

Highlights:
Dog food (repacked blue buffalo but so cheap)
Peanut butter pretzels (should be illegal)
Whiskey is really solid for the price
Paper towels
TP

I like buying restaurant GCs there. You get like $100 for $75. Makes date nights cheaper.

The rotisserie chicken is so good and cheap and bigger than anywhere else.

Hope that helps

We recently switched to Sam’s Club and I like it way better. Costco is a zoo and you can barely ever even walk around (at least the one near me). Sam’s is way less busy and you can call just scan your stuff with your phone as you shop and leave when you’re done.

you can barely ever even walk around
Because of the fat people?

I hate going to Costco with a passion but think about that logically. The most common complaint about Costco is that they're busy and Sam's isn't. That's because Costco shit is better than Sam's shit and the majority of the population agrees.

It feels to me like the grocery items beyond fresh produce or meat are geared more towards the fats at Sams compared to Costco, we use both but go to both for certain items that the other just doesn’t carry

Had CostCo, switched to Sam's because it was 10 minutes closer. They're virtually identical. Except CostCo is an absolute zoo in comparison. At least 3x as many people. PASS
Costco doesn't have the scan and go application too correct?

Thats basically the reason I go to Sams, but might switch as costco is going to be more convenient

I’m a basic Kirkland bitch and I have zero fucking regrets.
