Come on, Tuesday...do something

I'm worried about this dragging out. Thought the whole point of firing coaches weeks ago was to get a jump on hiring new Asst Coaches. Haven't seen anything from this staff that leads me to believe they will be ahead of the curve on anything, no matter how much Dean tries to spin it.

I don't know if this is the right thread, but speaking of Dean....read the Chat today... he seriously said Martinez could stay around, play 4 games and redshirt, and then come back for 2023...

"My question is the stability of his shoulder and when he'll be cleared to throw again. Another theory I have is he could technically redshirt 2022 and play in up to four games. That's something to chew on as well."

I mean, this makes no sense in so many ways. I can't believe he has the job he does. The gift that keeps on giving

pretty sure Dean has a list of excuses to copy/paste from when the theories he's out out there inevitably do not come to fruition.
Edit: all of them will include something about how things have moved quickly, and he's done his best to provide quick and accurate info OR about how he didn't want to report on something that he didn't know 100%.
Like Omar Manning...whoops, maybe not that one

Martinez is like Herpes, in that he just won't go away. It was fun for a very short time but now we are paying the price as it keeps coming back to haunt us.

It would be great to have new guys out recruiting, but it appears NU largely threw in the towel on this recruiting class anyway. They have to hit on portal guys now, so hopefully the timing in that still works with new hires.

I'm a little surprised we didn't hear anything Monday. Honestly thought we'd hear something the Sunday after the Cockeye game when the coaching staff was originally fired.

:You really expected Frost to have his shit together enough for this to happen? If he could be that competent in the first place we wouldn't be in last place.

Wonder if Harrell is the guy but there is something in his contract that he must coach out the season. USC has a completely meaningless game against Cal this weekend. Also Kent State is playing in the MAC championship. If their OC is the guy along with the O-Line coach maybe Frost is letting them get a shot at a championship with their team before announcing. With how Scott handled his transition from UCF to Nebraska this wouldn’t surprise me.

I didn't mean to insinuate that those two were actually in play. I was simply implying that I think very highly of their OL coach and think he would do an awesome job. Sadly, I don't think he's an option.

That's where I saw the tweet this morning. The way it was worded it sounded like Mickey had a chance to be retained because of Corey Raymond. I think if we don't see anything about Mickey by tomorrow by lunch time then that ship has sailed.
If so, fuck Mickey Joseph. That’s twice.

I agree. Sounds like it's done though. That tweet was now 24 hours and we've had plenty on here and on twitter to suggest otherwise. Got an uncle tied in with a donor who said he heard last night it was done too.
