Colorado going all out at practice

The difference between what they're highlighting and what our media team is highlighting in our releases is night and day. This video is basically a scrimmage cut up and then a bunch of players and coaches hanging out and talking about social media and designer clothes/bags. Really does seem like they're trying to be the coolest staff in the country, whereas our staff is out there trying to coach a football team.

Is Hunter going to be their starting CB and WR? How many plays can he honestly play at both?

Very weird video. I'm of the opinion they are going to be god awful next year and the Deion circus isnt going to help. They lost 10 games by 23 or more last year. This video is only reinforcing my opinion.

Just cracks me up to watch things like this... I'm scared to feed the Buffalo, then I'll put gloves on, thinking that if the Buffalo decides to chomp on my finger, that it's going to make a difference...

Damn, Prime makin' moves

It’s downright historic. With at least 42 new scholarship players coming in, Sanders has reeled in the biggest class of newcomers in recorded school history. And he might not be done. The transfer portal opens again in the spring after Sanders already signed or gained commitments from 23 players from other four-year colleges in December and January.

“It already looks like a massive success, and he’s 0-0 as the coach there,” said Adam Gorney, national recruiting director for Rivals.com.
It starts at quarterback, where the Buffaloes started four players last season and haven’t had a player from that position drafted into the NFL since 1997, when Koy Detmer was taken in the seventh round. Sanders’ son Shedildo takes over after coming along with his dad from Jackson State.

On defense, Colorado now has the No. 1 cornerback recruit of 2023 (McClain) and the No. 1 cornerback recruit of 2022 (Travis Hunter, who transferred from Jackson State).

“Colorado might have the best cornerback duo in the entire conference, if not the country , and it’s completely because of Deion Sanders being there,” Gorney told USA TODAY Sports.

Hunter still appears to be trying to play both ways. I'm unsure how well that will work now that he's jumping up a competition level. We also have yet to see him truly compete against elite competition over the course of a season. And while McClain may be highly rated, he's yet to prove it at this level as well. He could quickly turn out to be similar to the 5* DB who transferred here from Ohio St and never played a down. Not all 5* are created the same. So yeah, on paper, this is great for CU. The proof is in the pudding, however.

wake me up when he starts signing some top linemen. even in the shitty pac 12, without some OL and DL, he's going to get his shit pushed in by UW, Oregon, Utah, USC, UCLA at the very least.
you don’t think his squad of midgets can handle the PAC

+ Washington State now and possibly even Oregon State

Deion Sanders’ first spring game in Boulder will not only be the lone nationally televised spring game of the month, but it’ll be the place to be for several of the nation’s best 2024 and 2025 recruits.
Among the recruits expected in Colorado for Prime’s first big event of the spring are a number of five-stars, including a few along the defensive line. That group is headlined by the On300 Nos. 1 and 2 players in the country: Dylan Stewart and Williams Nwaneri.
Stewart, the No. 1 EDGE in the country out of Washington (D.C.) Friendship, has made spring visits to South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State, which leads the way on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Nwaneri, the top-ranked DL in the nation from Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North, has also made visits to Oklahoma, LSU, Ohio State, Nebraska and also Tennessee for the second time this spring.
In addition to the two players sitting atop the On300 for the 2024 cycle, Colorado is expecting On3 Industry Ranking top-200 West Bloomfield (Mich.) DL Brandon Davis-Swain back in town for the spring game. One of the best in the Mid-West, Davis-Swain was at USC’s spring game last week. The Buffs are also going toe-to-toe with RPM leader Michigan for his services.
Four-star Orlando (Fla.) Jones DL D’antre Robinson and three-star Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood EDGE Solomon Williams are two more notable defensive front-seven prospects expected in Colorado for the spring game.

Sanders hosting multiple recruits committed to SEC schools

Colorado will have even more blue-chip defensive talent on campus this weekend, and that includes a few recruits committed to blueblood SEC schools.
Four-star linebackers Sterling Dixon (Alabama), Xavier Atkins (LSU) and Cameron Pruitt are among the notable second-level defenders expected along with uber-athletic DeSoto (Texas) hybrid safety/linebacker Brandon Booker.
Dixon, out of Mobile (Ala.) Christian, has also visited LSU and Auburn this spring. Atkins has frequented both Arkansas and Texas A&M and is coming off his first official visit to Utah last weekend.
In-state Fort Collins (Col.) Fossil Ridge OT Gage Ginther is also expected to make the short drive over to Folsom Field for the contest. Ginther committed to Tennessee to kick off April, but Josh Huepel and the Vols will have their work cut out trying to stave off the Buffs with one of the state’s best.

Jaden Reddell highlights offensive recruits visiting Colorado

On300 No. 1 TE Jaden Reddell, the No. 31 overall player in the country out of Raymore (Mo.) Peculiar, headlines the group of offensive firepower heading to town for the Colorado spring game. Reddell has made spring stops at Notre Dame, Tennessee, Michigan, Nebraska and Georgia, and there’s a sense that the Irish, the Vols and also the Bulldogs have caught the elite pass-catcher’s attention.
Sanders will have his chance to inject the Buffs into the race this weekend.
Other On300 recruits expected in Boulder include Duncanville (Texas) RB Caden Durham and Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar WR Tawaski Abrams, who is committed to Sanders’ alma mater Florida State. On3 Industry Ranking four-star Statesboro (Ga.) CB Kam Mikell is also expected in town.
Notable 2025 recruits also expected include On300 WR Koby Howard, four-star ATH LaMason Waller and Texas signal-caller Kelden Ryan.

Aaron Butler taking an official visit for spring game weekend

There will be one official visitor in town for the weekend — and that’s On300 ATH Aaron Butler. One of the best from the West Coast has made spring visits out to Georgia, Oregon and also Colorado. Butler is set to see the Buffs for the second time in as many months ahead of a summertime decision.
Georgia is trending on the RPM for Butler, but Colorado will have a massive opportunity to close the gap during his official visit.
Butler is one of two On3 Industry Ranking top-10 athletes expected on campus along with On300 standout Boo Carter. The Buffs are battling Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon and also the in-state Volunteers for one of the best in SEC country, but Sanders has the attention of Carter in a big way leading into this trip.
Two more notable defensive backs expected include four-star DB Jordon Johnson-Rubell and Colorado commit Ju’Juan Johnson.
Johnson-Rubell has been exploring several options both new and familiar this spring, and Colorado fits the theme of the former. The hybrid safety is high on TCU and Texas, and has also checked out Michigan and Ohio State recently. Johnson committed to Sanders and the Buffs in February over LSU and Florida. His second trip back to Boulder in a four-month stretch should signify that Colorado is going to continue to recruit their early commits in the Southeast.

I know new coaches have to sell a vision and you can't judge them by what they inherit and all that, but I genuinely mean this: If any super recruit visits CU to witness their JV-caliber scrimmage, and is STILL swayed by the designer purses and shiny cars and Deion mugging for the cameras in a cowboy hat, I wouldn't want them at NU anyway.

I bet CU is winning the Big 12 in 3 years
