Not a bad idea, but I think it would be easier to disband UNL football and pour resources into UNK. Kearney has a much better culture and is a fine town to have a good time in.

Every single offensive coach needs to go. As does Raiola. And fire the ST coach

OC/WR - Jordan Davis - give him 1.5 milly and full control
QB/Pass game coordinator- Jake Peetz (throw him 1 mil a year. Seattles pass game is cooking this year)
RB/ST - Tim Horton (ELITE position coach)
TE - Freddie Kitchens (making 550 at UNC, get him up to 750k
OL - Brian Ferentz (say what you will. He can coach OL)

That leaves 1 more coach to do whatever you want on offense.

At this point there is no reason Nebraska shouldn’t offer the best they can find at every position 1 million a year. They light so much money on fire as it is. What’s a few hundred grand more a year.
Best case they get in assistants. Worst case they raise the bar on minimum assistant coach pay

Correct, he hired his replacement. However I do think you send some feelers out just because he’s originally from the area in case he did grow up a Skers fan. No clue if he did or not. Realistically though I think you go after Kiffin as your first choice. Wave a LOT of $$ in his face.

How about we stop always throwing money at everything and think that is going to solve it. Maybe find a lower level coach that knows how to win with less and stop thinking we need to try to keep up in the spending race when we cannot, it sure has worked for others.
