I imagine they write it up as a lease as opposed to giving them the title. The value of the lease would then be taxed as ordinary income.

Ok so what’s the value of 12 months lease payments on a 200k+lambo?
Ok looked it up. You can lease 1-2 year old lambos for 3-4K a month with around 19k down payment.
Say these are new so 5k and 30k down(I’m sure they put zero but well include it as the perceived value)
That would still be what 90k value.
Decent chunk to have to pay in taxes

Down-payment is just prepaying the lease so 19k down 3-4 a month would be equivalent to 4-5k a month. So let's just say for arguments sake 54k per year. Taxes at 1/3. So costs them about 18k per year. Round up to 20k for a nice even number.

If I were that bottom guy, I'd be entering the portal ASAP. They gave him the Labroghini version of a grocery-getter. Looks like he's on his way to pick up the kids from T-ball practice.
And that top one? Better car, but had to give him the canned-pea-green one that wasn't selling.
We can compete with those deals.

Yeah, I see it's $621k average market not that 20k matters to anyone that has that kind of money for a car. Lamborghini Revuelto 1000hp V12 hybrid, 0-100 in 5 seconds. Probably not the best car to give to a college age kid ☠️.

A Urus is one of the hardest vehicles to get right now. He isn’t getting the short end of the stick. They retail for $275K and have been selling for double in some states.

I saw that the prices were all over the place. I know it's not the cool thing to say but Urus would be more practical to have. The Revuelto while the cooler of the two is going to be a pain in the ass as a daily driver but I'm not 20 years old anymore either 🤣.
