I am in no way shape or form out on Coach Rhule, but I do think this is a pretty good learning moment for him. This isn’t the AAC or the Big 12 circa 2018. This is the new world of college football and the amount of money we are paying for the team to still be this blatantly inept at basic football functionality is crazy.

You didn’t want to run guys off when you got here. Okay, fine. But didn’t get a QB worth a shit which cost us 3+ games last year and enabled the 7th missed bowl in a row and what is even scarier is the portal guys that we have gotten have been…. Pretty bad.

My bet is there will be a “modernization” of the approach somewhat this offseason, including a willingness to go get more dudes from the portal (aka off other teams’ rosters) and a shakeup in staff. Unfortunately, I do think it will be done “Matt Rhule” way, meaning we won’t just waltz in and kick a bunch of kids to the curb and fire coaches to embarrass them. We’ll wait for Satt to leave of his own accord, Rhule will have a bunch of nice quotes planned abound him the local paper, etc.

Team needs to come out and play hungrier against OSU , even if the score winds up being another blowout. Need to tackle better, move faster, and take some more risks on offense. But, come back after next weeks, beat UCLA to get to 6 and everything else is gravy from there..

IU was 7 for 7 on TDs in goal-to-go situations. Illinois was 3 for 3. Thats pathetic.

Tony White seems to get a free pass from everyone, but our defensive stats are aided greatly by playing dogshit offenses. He seems absolutely clueless in goaline situations….teams aren’t just scoring TDs, guys are walking in untouched.
