It's Criston Cole. Not Triston. And that whole scene was pretty good of an example of fantasy and setting trumping realism.

The long narrow footpath is a great fantasy setting for a confrontation. It allows for cinematic scenes and lends to the tension of opposing forces/ideas.

In reality it's not a good idea to walk UP a long mountain path on the way to a fight in full king's guard armor. Nobody would think that was a smart strategy..

I was absolutely engulfed in GOT by episode 3. I'm barely interested so far.

We are still in the "set up" portion of the story. I imagine they chose to start where they did to show how troubled Viserys is with succession and to show that being King isn't so fun.

Episode 3 was pretty bad ass regardless.
