Anything more predictable than Husker fans freaking out about Memorial Stadium going cashless?

I can understand people being skeptical and critical of the Athletic Department for the available technology in the Stadium. But the people bitching about not using cash are hilarious. I don't think I've paid with cash at any sports venue for nearly a decade.

Do you think they will take Bitcoin payments? I would love to pay 0.000078577156285 BTC for a Runza while in the stadium.
There’s been a Bitcoin ATM in the Haymarket Mill coffee shop location for years. Still kicking myself for not doing that for fun back in the day.

I met the guy that put it there. He was trying to get me to buy Bitcoin when it was around a dollar a coin. If only.

We don't all have debit cards like the elite Cornicators

I hardly ever carry cash. I don't see the point these days, as most everything is cashless. It's so much easier with the tap and pay readers than having some cashier fumble around trying to get me my change. Drugs and Strippers are the only things cash should be needed for these days. 😎

The big question is whether or not they are going to add the bullshit "processing fee" on top of your transaction like Restaurants are now doing... If so, then that's bullshit. I hate the restaurants are doing it now. You stopped taking checks because you didn't want to deal with NSF. You pushed people to use plastic because you didn't want to have to keep change and make a daily deposit. Now you charge us for making it more convenient for you...

How about built in tips on the hand held machines?

Then you have to scroll to enter your own .50 cent tip vs. 25% or greater.

Fair, but it seems like delays are more common with cards than clerks fumbling around for change. If we could just tap and be done in a couple of seconds, all for it. If it actually takes longer because you have to try your card two or three times before it works, then select a tip, etc, then no thanks. I know they had problems at PBA with electronic payments slowing things up. The cash register always opened on the first try.

Hopefully the technology has improved to eliminate these delays.

Execution is everything

The Masters is cashless and when I was there last year I've never seen a more efficient operation. You'd be behind 100 people in line and within 5 minutes you're waking out with your food

If they ever add a tip screen at memorial i'm pulling my annual $250 gift to the AD. They will feel my wrath.

They will. They already have them at PBA for concessions. A lot of the time, they'll say, "Just so you know, tips go towards our fundraiser", etc...

General rule of thumb, if I'm ordering sitting in my car or standing up, there's no need to tip.
