My favorite Adrian play yesterday was on a 3rd and 2 he scrambled because apparently no one was "open". With the nearest defender 5 yards away he ran out of bounds. 2 yards short of the 1st down.

I know some folks are hoping for some big redemption story for him and maybe there will be, but from what I watched yesterday it looked like the same Ol' Martinez we watched for the last 4 years to me.

If we are being honest he showed a lot of promise his first year. We all assumed he would get better yet somehow he regressed. He has all the tools besides the quick blinking brain.

I'm not sure if they play any good defenses this year but it shouldn't be that hard to take 5'6" 130 pound Deuce out of the game and make Martinez beat you. That's when he'll really shine. They have shit receivers.

They can develop because they put a shitload of players in the pros especially for the level they recruit on paper anyways.
