Greg Smith from Hail Varsity thinks that the Huskers might take up to 9 transfers. I'll take a shot at guessing the positions.

(2) OTs
And they both need to be Big 10 ready. Corcoran and Benhart didn't cut it. Maybe one of those guys could play guard?

(1) DT
Also needs to be Big 10 ready to play. I'm not sure Jordon Riley is our answer and Nash doesn't seem totally ready yet. Run stopping is so important that we really noticed how much we will miss Daniels from the example provided to us against Cockeye.

(1) Safety
Losing Dismuke and Williams is goina hurt and Farmer is a step down from Williams IMO. Also, I don't think NPG has the size and I consider him a possible transfer out anyway.

(1) TE
Everyone returning is either a guy with a history of injuries, unproven or both a history of injuries AND unproven. Help needed.

(2) OLB/DE
Sure we have people returning but nobody that consistently gets to the QB. Any talent in that area should be a priority right now. Today. No bathroom breaks. Why are you still reading this? Get on the phone.

(1) Punter
Can you kick a ball between 45-65 yards? If so here's your jersey see you at practice.

(1) Field Goal Kicker
Can you make more kicks than you miss? If so, here's your jersey, follow the punter to the practice field. Have you two met? You're both new and you could literally be the campus heroes by just being a bit above average.

Other ideas? Anything I missed?

I think depending on Adrian's decision it could be the 10th but most important. I feel like he'll be back to finish his Masters and collect that sweet sweet NIL cash. (Although I wish he and Nebraska would both just move on)

We’ve first got to find out what we’ll be losing. I think we’ll definitely take a WR or two.

OT: Agreed, but the new OL coach may make a big difference with those two too. They still have the talent, but need help with technique.

DT: I'd put it much lower on the board, but I'm also a bit higher on Riley.

S: Farmer is fine. He just needs the experience he got this year. And NPG isn't going anywhere.

TE: Not worried about that group at all.

OLB/DE: Agreed. Nelson made good strides but this team is still starving for a true pass rusher.

K/P: Agreed

I thought of that too. Any transfers out are going to force us to recalculate. But as it stands we have WRs....and probably some that should've played more IMO.

I actually think Corocoran can play on the right side. Once Teddy gets healthy he'll take that left side. But ya you always could take a guy especially since we have no idea when Teddy will be healthy?

DT: Nash could be ready in 8 months. Daniels wasn't ready until he was. But DL depth is always needed

Safety: I feel more comfortable here. I think Fisher has done a nice job recruiting this position. And again at some point those young 4 star guys you recruit have to get out there and show you why they are 4 stars. At this particular position Nebraska has had 2 old guys there for like 3 years.

TE: Depends on if Hickman transfers

OLB: Can always use depth, I think Tannor and Nelson have looked good. Gunnerson played some late.

Punter: Yes

Kicker: Yes

Quarterback and WR

Basically you could argue that every position needs added depth. I don't think the safety position is one I'm worried about unless some kids move on.

Rewatching some of Nash now. There was of course a drop off between him and Daniels because I think Damian was one of the best 0 techs in the conference if not the nation. But overall I think Nash will be a good one and I’m not too concerned about that spot. I do think you take a JUCO or a transfer there because it seems we like to rotate about 6 or 7 guys at DL. I don’t know if we’ve got 6 or 7 on the roster you can project.

But we are losing our top 2 and probably top 3 that all took snaps right in the middle...Stille, Thomas and Daniels.

We need someone ready to rock here.

Right - are we really giving up on Corcoran a RS Freshman in the same year his OL coach gets fired?

Benhart I understand more because there were SO MANY penalties from him...I think back to when Teddy went out, and Benhart's first play in he false starts. But Turner still has a ton of potential.

Benhart is a head scratcher.

Yes. So sought after out of HS, has incredible size. To be clear - I am far from giving up on him. The right OL coach can come in and suddenly you go "There's what we though Bryce would be"

I think we'll take more than 9. Gonna be a lot of turnover on the roster and our recruiting class is only 12-13.

Benhart's not somebody that can slide inside is he? @slattimer

I almost feel sorry for the kid. From what I remember with his recruiting, he's a quiet kid, doesn't say much, borderline shy. Which when you're like that and you constantly jump offsides you kind of come off as a dolt. Which is probably unfair to the kid.
