Why? Because it doesn’t fit the story of boosters backing out after we lost a few games that was concocted out of thin air with no evidence to back it up?

Just curious. 🤔
What story is this you're talking about? I don't buy that they are setting market prices because they aren't getting any DL transfers.

I liked Raiola. Didn't like that he transferred.

But it is going to be nauseating to hear about how great he is now. He had a really good freshman year at Nebraska and got zero love from national media. Remember all the talk about Lagway, Demond Williams etc etc?

Now that same national media will talk about how much arm talent he has yada yada yada. And when I say media I'm talking about the national On3, 247, Rivals types. They are just so obvious anymore with their bias towards teams that are recruiting well at the time.

I'm probably not expressing this correctly, it's just annoying that now Dylan will get his flowers because he's at Oregon when he should have been getting that attention before the 2025 season at Nebraska.

If, say, Minnesota offered more money to a top DL than Oregon did, but the player chose Oregon, would you view that as an indictment of the Minnesota staff from your perspective?

I can't see what the difference between that and our situation from the eyes of a 20 year old.
Yes I would consider that an indictment on the staff because their job is to get the guys in here to be able to compete with those teams. If you’re telling me we don’t have enough money for players to want to play for Rhule then we need a new coach.

We need a winning program so that people want to be at Nebraska. Chicken or the egg argument

From Pete Nakos:
These are not RPMs, but where these players are trending if today were National Signing Day. The nature of the transfer portal is as fluid as it has ever been, and NIL deals can quickly alter destinations.

Pitt DL Jahsear Whittington

A former four-star recruit, Nebraska has emerged as the team to beat to land Pitt defensive tackle Jahsear Whittington. The 6-foot, 270-pound defensive lineman posted 12 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery in 2025. The Cornhuskers were able to get Whittington on campus this weekend, and Matt Rhule’s program sits in a good spot.
