O

could it be because they didn’t have a DL coach until yesterday?
I don't think this makes much difference for one and done portal guys but yes, it certainly could for younger guys.

Tim this morning:

"Per agency sources, the Huskers have put up competitive, even market-setting offers for top defensive line talent, but have had varying results getting said talent to campus thus far."
Might as well fire Rhule now if the moneys there and he still can’t get the players we need to be successful, on campus.

Idk, I imagine after the moneys worked out that’s the second question they ask and Rhule had zero answer for them. And if they were down to Nebraska and another school then you goto the school with a DL coach.

My guess, though, is that the reason Jahsear Whittington had interest in Nebraska is Aurich. Everyone wants to know how they'll be used. Aurich's scheme is perfect for a smaller, athletic DL. Yeah, people obviously want to know the position coach, but what really drives team selection IMO is the type of defense that is being played. (This is probably why we are striking out on massive guys this year as well - they know only limited snaps will be available in Aurich's defense).

Top guys want to go to good teams. Nebraska is not a good team
