Lockett is a NT who might have high potential. He was a 4 star out of HS, went to Ga Tech, redshirted his first year, and had a good RS freshman year:
2023 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in 10 games at nose tackle … Finished the season with 25 total tackles (nine solo) and 2.5 tackles for loss … Had a career-game in the 30-16 win at Wake Forest (Sept. 23), recording a career-high six tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss … Also recording multiple tackles against South Carolina State (Sept. 9), Bowling Green (Sept. 30) and then-No. 17 North Carolina (Oct. 28) and UCF (Dec. 22) … Forced a key fumble late in the first quarter of the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl against UCF.
He was out for the entire 2024 season following some kind of hand injury suffered in the Gasparilla Bowl.
He transferred to UCF for 2025:
UCF defensive tackle Horace Lockett is out for the rest of the season, coach Scott Frost said Saturday after the Knights' loss to Kansas.
During last weekend's game against Kansas State, Lockett tore his pectoral muscle, Frost said. He had surgery for it on Friday.
"He's been great at the beginning of the season," Frost said. "So, I feel terrible for him."
Lockett ends his season with 13 total tackles, eight of them solo, three tackles for loss, a sack and two pass breakups across four games.
