My god, it's got to be depressing to be a G5 or FCS coach after a good season.
This is part of that dumb trend of guys who have used up all their college eligbility "declaring" for the NFL draft. It used to be a given. Now it's another pathway to draw attention to yourself.
Especially if you have a good team and/or your HC is leaving for a P4 job. Your entire roster gets gutted. Imagine being the incoming coach knowing you have to fill 40 roster spots.
At least they get good seasons...
Eh sorta, I’m sure as shit not trading places with the likes of JMU… Good season I guess, but it’s always gonna end the same way. With an epic beat down in the playoffs, your coach getting hired away and the subsequent gutting of your roster.
The season is like a Disney fairytale, but at the end… the princess gets humiliatingly gets dumped by Prince Charming, gang raped by his degenerate drinking buddies then framed for prostitution and thrown in prison.
I mean I can't really tell the difference between Nebraska's roster and one that has been gutted by the portal
You would if that team played in the B1G or SEC.

Another guy that had all the measurables coming out of high school. I remember being surprised when he transferred from Oregon to Utah St.
