You laid it out well. There is still talent in the room, but it sure needs to be tapped better than it was under Bradden. I'm a big believer in linemen on either side not hitting their stride til year 3 generally, so if it happens, it'll be this year for a good chunk of em. If it doesnt happen across the board, the season is fucked.
If these coaches cannot get guys developed in 3 seasons the they aren’t the right guys.

If the were bought into the portal then sure it could be ok, but it’s obvious Rhule took the stance of trying to develop and fill in gaps with portal.

The time is now.

Feels like Michigan State

to me it feels like Nebraska, but I am often wrong

His value is all special teams. From Michigan.

Could see Pat fitz and Levar woods try to tamper and take him.
Nebraska isn’t going to pay him to keep him

I'm 99% sure he has to be a DSA, so he likely isn't making much of anything and he knows he'll be allowed to withdraw by Rhule. He is likely just trying to see if there is an opportunity for more PT somewhere else at this level.

Almost everyone in this thread would say there's no chance he gets more PT elsewhere because he can't get it in this crappy RB room.

I’m kinda surprised this move didn’t get more hate… we literally gave that dude a scholarship mid season, made him a poster boy, and then he bounces at the end of the year.
He wasn’t going to get any real nil value from us.
Michigan state hired Pat and LeVar who get horned up over special teams. Plus he’s going home.

They could offer him 100k which wouldn’t be worth it to Nebraska an get him

UConn freshman DT Delano Brown (6’4, 280lbs) entered the portal yesterday. A once time Coastal Carolina commit, would’ve had a relationship with new Nebraska Recruiting Coordinator Matt Pearce, who was previously at Coastal Carolina. They are following each other on X.

Unclear if its a recent follow but Barthel follows him on X

Another DT portal entry Barthel X follow: former Kentucky and Louisville defensive tackle Kendrick Gilbert
At least it APPEARS that they still may be trying to add another body to the DL room
