I totally agree. The crazy part is there is a thread on the Ducks On3 site only about Raiola and there are more than a few that think he is going to be happy to go there, sit for a year and “learn” from Moore.
There are a few realists on there though:
And I posted this last one in another thread but it’s a reminder to take all this with a grain of salt, they have RSS level posters over there as well:
The word is that Dante Moore isn’t sure about what he’s going to do. He’ll only be 20 years old when this NFL draft comes up. He’s not 21 until late May.
I know what the word is and they haven’t been very active in the portal but everyone knows sitting and waiting is the fastest way to be behind the eight ball. Thinking that Lanning isn’t making a plan at all is wild. Look at Indiana and Cignetti. They already dominated the first week of the portal. Oregon must feel pretty confident Moore is coming back.

I agree that he’s not a dude who doesn’t plan. To me, it looks like his plan is to bring Longstreet in and either play him a year or sit him a year as long as he’s cool with it. Dante Moore did the exact same so he can certainly sell him on that piece.
It did not take long for Pittsburgh transfer defensive lineman Jahsear Whittington to gain interest once his name hit the transfer portal.
And the explosive defensive tackle from Philadelphia Imhotep already has a school of focus and a visit set.
Nebraska is set to host Whittington, who has three years of eligibility remaining.
"I have a visit with Nebraska tomorrow and nothing else set up as of right now," the 6-foot, 270-pound Whittington said Friday. "I leave tonight and it starts tomorrow morning."
Whittington went into the portal Friday morning. He played in three games in 2024 and preserved his red-shirt season. He moved into Pitt's rotation last season and he made 12 tackles, including seven solo and with a sack.
Whittington was going to be counted on to be a key player for the Panthers next season but he now could be headed to the Big Ten.
He said he is heading to Nebraska eager to learn more about the program.
"They definitely got on me quick, showing interest," he said. "Their schemes, they run four-down d-lineman. We just had conversations to let me get versatile and be dynamic, and be able to get up the field."
Whittington is unsure if he will make other visits, and his focus is on learning more about Nebraska.
"After multiple talks with my family we decided to go and take the visit and see how it is," he said.
If Whittington takes more visits they will likely have to wait until late next week since a dead period for transfer visits runs Monday through Wednesday.

Then delete your post(s) and ban you if you dare challenge his bullshit.
A lot of stark differences really… Dean fancies himself as some of quasi-expert so he takes being wrong personally. The info is as much about Dean and his reputation and how he see’s himself as it is about the actual info. Dean doesn’t just want to share info with his subscribers, he wants to control the narrative and believes he should be revered, respected and unquestioned because he shares that info. Info that people pay for. Most business models and mission statements focus on the customer. The customer is always (or at least mostly) right and the customer’s satisfaction is the primary objective. Dean’s business model all about Dean in almost every way possible.
He is also bald, fat, stupid and more insecure than a 14 year old girl.
G just passes on what he hears and if it’s correct, then great he might point that out, but if it’s not he says it ended up being bad info. Dean’s propensity to get defensive and take it personally when he’s wrong just begs people to highlight it when he’s wrong and ultimately lose respect for him. Basically… running a Husker message board is where the comparisons stop between G and Dean.
Also he could edit your post and you couldn't prove it.
Right!? Every big time school has contingencies built in and are ready to pivot at a moments notice to plan b.
Certainly no legit program is going to put all their eggs into a single basket.
I know that you are talking about a very real situation with Oregon so it’s not completely apples to apples but I’m just going to toss out a hypothetical.
Again, just for conversation sake, and I’m honestly just spitballing here, let’s just use hiring a new assistant coach as an example. In this purely theoretical scenario I’m confident no power 4 school would like, fire a coach thinking that they have a replacement locked up without considering an alternative option they could quickly pivot to should that first plan fall through.
I mean, thats just ludicrous.
I guess you did specifically say a team that consistently competes in the CFP so like I said, not completely apples to apples.
