2024-25 Portal SZN Thread

He waited until it was too late to enroll this semester to commit. Consistent with the info circulating that he wanted to stay at NMSU until after spring semester.

Not to pull the “we cooled” card, but I do wonder if that might have put off some programs. Not having him here in the spring would definitely create some issues.

Not an excuse but just an observation he didn't tweet out his offer from Nebraska like he did for Kentucky, Michigan and the others.

Throwing this out for discussion. It's been talked about on here before that Donnie doesn't teach a traditional blocking method. Is that hurting our chances with some of the recruits? or are opposing teams possibly using it to recruit against us? I don't have the background to know if it would make a difference one way or another.

They have another good OL who just went in the portal as well. Get one of these guys, and I think we gotta feel pretty good about the OL (LT still a little shaky tho).
I think it's one of their centers, Pat Coogan. I saw a tweet but can't find it now.

I think one more body gives us a little more flexibility and depth. Ideally it would be a LT but a C or G would help as well.

Both of these guys would be great. But I have a feeling Michigan could be after these guys. Spindler is a grad student from the Detroit suburbs. Coogan is from the Chicago suburbs. I have no evidence, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'd take either one, but lean toward the center. Just don't think it happens.
