2024-25 Nebraska Football Roster Attrition + Graduation

Total guess on my part but I'm doubting we carry 3 place kickers into the season.

One of them has got to go,right? But which one leaves?

Can any of you see 3 spots of the 105 being on PKs?

My guess is 2 punters and 2 kickers.

I actually believe you need 3. We can’t go out and sign new ones. A third kicker in the event of the yips is far more valuable than the bottom 30 spots on the roster that will never see a meaningful down for us.

Same with Punters and Long Snappers.

That's kind of the roster roulette each team has to decide, isn't it?

Which positions to go heavy on and which ones you can get by with less bodies.

It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

Oh no.

Btw, this year 3 isn’t like Rhule’s other 2. He burned the houses down in both years 1 at Temple and Baylor, meaning he played a ton of young guys that allowed them to gain experience for the later years - culminating in substantially improved year 3s. He didn’t do that here. He inherited a veteran team and they ate up most of the snaps. While we had some young guys playing, it wasn’t to the extent they played at Temple and Baylor. To counter that, he also didn’t have the transfer portal to use to his benefit back then. NU may still make a substantial leap in year 3 but it won’t be because he employed his previous strategy he used at his prior schools. JMO. GBR.
