He played a shit load of snaps over the course of 2 years to only end up with 19 catches.

I suppose that’s a testament to there being a lot more to the WR position than just speed. He had a lot of the physical tools but apparently lacked some of the intrinsic/instinctual characteristics needed to succeed.

Lloyd wasn’t a highly sought after WR in high school as I recall. NU only offered after Rhule got to town. He gave us some much needed help especially last year. Good luck to him.

Correct. Dude was about to commit to Florida for T&F right before Rhule took the job. And IIRC, the gayturds won it all in 2022.

Rhule took a gamble on him for his straight-line speed.

Let's just put it this way, guys....

Lloyd went through all of the bowl practices with a new position coach then barely played and now is in the portal. Seems pretty obvious as to what happened here.

The bowl preparation and game were basically a tryout with the new bosses (OC and WR coach). We are seeing it with them targeting even more portal DL as well. (new coach there too) The coaches basically sat down after everything has ended and came up with a list of keepables and replaceables.

At least that's what it looks like to me. I won't be surprised to see a few more guys leave.

At what point do we need to be on Quinn Clark/Keelan Smith portal watch?

I’m not complaining about this addition in the least, but something’s gotta give numbers-wise eventually.
In:
Key
Hardley
Hunter
Mozee
Mills

Out
Neyor
Lloyd
Coleman
Banks
Bullock(?)

Seems like they can probably carry both. Smith could definitely move positions, but just depends how Shorts feels about them I guess
