2024-25 NCAA Tournament Bracketology/Bubble Watch

I do wholeheartedly agree with this. And it's been super frustrating we can't find one.
I still believe this team is an average PG away from being deadly. As in S16 type team. And NIL isn't the reason we don't have one. They're all over the country, across all conferences.

I completely agree with this. When you look at Omaha’s roster, a guy like JJ White would be a significant upgrade over what Nebraska currently has at guard. It’s hard to understand why Fred brought in another offensively challenged guard like Worster when Ulis is already on the bench filling that same role.

Imagine if Lawrence hadn’t entered the portal last year and Mast stayed healthy—I’d love to know what that lineup could have achieved. With a core of Mast, Lawrence, Gary, Williams, Essegian, Morgan, Berke, and Hoiberg, plus Ulis as a backup option, there’s real potential there. Meanwhile, Meah and Worster can kick rocks.

No coincidence the retards that want Hoiberg gone just make shit up to support their case. Yea let’s believe Ponyboy on the message board over one of the better beat reporters in the state.
It's logical though. 2.5 million total for 12 guys. It's safe to say Juwan, Brice, Reink and Berke are all above 500k on their own. Meah is rumored to be above that too. You saying the other 7 guys make 0?

Dang that's crazy to think about

Except, I don't want Hoiberg gone.

You all smack Callahan all over the place for being a mouthpiece then believe everything Washut says about NIL. 😂 GTFO. I'll match my sources up against Washut all day long, multiple times over when it comes to NIL.

To think Ulis & Worster is the best we can do because of NIL shows how straight up ignorant you are. And that's being kind.

I really wanted Lawrence back. That was a big loss. If I remember correctly, some didn't think it was a big deal to lose him, but I thought it was and in retrospect, it definitely was. Losing Mast also hurt a ton - our post scoring was only Morgan, and he faded badly as the season progressed. Mast also would have helped spread the court some.

But Mast got hurt and we didn't keep Lawrence. This year was a big wated opportunity when we should have danced AND gotten that first tourney win taken care of.

Agree on Lawrence.

Morgan's ppg & rpg in B1G play were damn near identical first 10 games v last 10 games.

We had 4 of the top 70 scorers in B1G play; (1) Williams, (20) Gary, (low 60's) Essegian & (t69) Morgan.

Last season, we had 7 guys in the top 70 in scoring (B1G only). IIRC, 4 in the top 30.

Good info. I didn't look up Morgan's numbers, but to the eyeball it seemed he shrunk in production later in the year. But good to know that wasn't the case.

The overall scoring punch between this year and last year - obviously we had fewer options this year to go to. More reliant on two guys to carry much of the load, and if Brice had an off game, it really makes things tough. Last year we had more guys to possibly pick up the slack if one or two others had an off game.

We need to get deeper and better, flat out. Whatever we need to do to make that happen - needs to be done.

Yep, and it's why I continue to lol at the NIL bullshit thrown around here.

2024 season ppg (B1G only)
(13) Tominaga 15.1
(t29) Mast 11.9
(t29) Williams 11.9
(30) Gary 11.5
(55) Wilcher 8.4
(t62) Lawrence 7
(t62) Allick 7
(98) Hoiberg 3

2025 season ppg (B1G only)
(1) Williams 21.4
(t20) Gary 14.8
(66) Essegian 9.2
(68) Morgan 8.9
(90) Worster 6.4
(104) Buyuktuncel 5.2
(124) Hoiberg 4
(135) Meah 2.8

NIL isn't the problem.
