I agree. NU is in with 2 wins, although it might be a play-in-game depending on how the other bubble teams end their seasons.

Winning a play in game is a positive, but I wouldn't consider it the "first tourney win".

Good call. I'll take it to get us off "the list" if I have to, but in my mind, that really means there are 3 teams who still haven't done it.

8 seed Northwestern beat 9 seed Vandy to break their streak. That wasn't a play-in game. Unless I'm missing something.

12 seed South Florida did beat 12 seed Cal in a play-in game, but then also beat 5 seed Temple right after, giving them a true tourney win as well imo.

The more likely scenario is that they lose out and miss the B1G Tournament.

NU has now lost 3 games at home in a row. That can’t happen. You HAVE to take care of home court.

At this point I halfway feel like I’d rather us not get into the NCAAt and go to the NIT. I feel like we would have a better chance of winning a few games in the NIT. At the end of the day though I think it would be better to at least make it into the tournament every year just to continue to develop some consistency within the program.
