2023 Nebraska Baseball Offseason

His FB has been up to 95 since winter break and his slider still has tremendous bite. He's the prototypical closer with 2 pitches. It doesn't work as well as a SP. This role is perfect for him & he can either give us multiple outings or extended ones.
That makes me feel better

He’s always seemed to be very inconsistent to me

As a starter, I agree. He's totally a different guy out of the pen. Had Schwelly not been able to pitch 2 years ago I think Shay would've been our closer. He's a natural fit for the bullpen. Go check his true freshmen year as a bullpen guy.

Bolt confirms our starting pitching rotation:

1. Olson (Junior, left-handed, second team All-Big Ten 2022)
2. Kaminska (Junior, right-handed, transfer from Wichita State, was a first team freshman all-amerian)
3. Clark (Freshman, left-handed, top 5 Canadian prospect)

Bolt also confirms that Caden Brumbaugh is out of the season. He was a likely starter in the outfield.

Dylan Fisher, a transfer from Southern Miss, will probably end up at 1b or in the outfield.

C: Josh Caron
1b:
2b: Max Anderson
3b: Dylan Carey
SS: Bryce Matthews
