Will be an interesting year…the bats are deep, but the depth of quality arm talent needs to improve yet. Middle relief will be a big challenge for us this upcoming season. Will have to score a lot to get to where we wanna be.

Honestly, if you just clean up the defense, last year's team wins a hell of a lot more games. I can't recall a Nebraska team that was so poor defensively on the diamond as that one.

Practices are somewhat open to the public. Coaches aren't afraid to talk to people with their opinions. Scouts are quick to share their thoughts. Players talk as well, with a large majority from in-state. This isn't football where a select few get to see things & information is hard to come by.

All 4 are a part of my responses. I'm confident in what's been stated; the pitching staff - depth & quality - are the strengths for the 2023 team. It showed in all fall scrimmages as well. I can't imagine any source(s) saying different as it's pretty obvious and the most common aspect in all discussions.

We'll find out soon enough. Also, this doesn't even include Perry or Bunz, which would be icing on the cake.

Our definition of good may be different, but I fully expect a top 2/3 finish in the B1G with a no doubt NCAA bid. Depending on the reports once the guys get back from winter break; I may throw out an outside chance to host Regionals (14-15-16 seed) as we get to the stretch run in May.

I believe the coaches nailed the portal & JUCO guys. I like this group.

I hope so. So much of this game is between the ears that it’s hard to project so many unknowns.
