Sign Up Now!Wow. There was a 4 star behind Duncan? What a whiff of a rating.Cockeye quarterback Joey Labas has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal, per reports from Tater Island Sports.
Labas just finished his sophomore season with the Cockeyes after joining the program as a four-star recruit in 2021.
Labas made his first and only career start for the Cockeyes in last year's Music City Bowl. In that postseason win over Kentucky, the then-freshman quarterback led Cockeye to a 21-0 victory — throwing for 139 yards and one touchdown.
Labas did not take the field for the Cockeyes this season. After Cade McNamara suffered a season-ending ACL tear in September, sophomore quarterback Deacon Hill stepped in as the team's starter for the rest of the season.
Labas has two seasons of remaining eligibility.
