Lol why would you gamble on an FCS dude translating when you can gamble on Raiola?
So you are counting on a true freshman to stay healthy plus play well for an entire season? We have no idea how well Dylan will perform or if he will get hurt. And we saw what happened last season when we had no quality QB play. HH and Danny aren't the answer for competing in the B1G right now. And bigger picture is this potential transfer brings some experience plus can potentially help with the Scout team. He's a 1 yr band aid until they can get Danny Kaelin ready to be a useable back up in case something happens with Raiola. Just another piece of the puzzle

Nobody thinks we would be getting him to compete with Raiola (if the rumors are actually more than made-up bullshit).

He'd be the guy who'd play isfRaiola got hurt, and another arm on the practice field.

I don't see why he'd leave Montana to take that deal.

My view has been that Raiola and Rhule's philosophy around 1 year guys has priced you out of any QB worth taking and if they were going to go the insurance direction, they would have just taken McCord. Almost every team in America is 1 injury away from playing a dude who isn't going to be able to compete at the level you want to so I just price that risk in. I don't assume Raiola will play well but I don't know that using a scholarship on another guy who you aren't sure can play well is all that attractive either.

He wouildn't be on schollie. He is a grad student - they'd just pay him NIL.

He was going to stay at Montana but it sounds like he wasn't guaranteed anything so he changed his mind yesterday. They were giving a freshman snaps all this year.

I would strongly consider doing it if I were him. No way he is going to the NFL, and the Big 10 is a pretty luxurious existence for an athlete. A nice way to cap off his career.

But who knows if he even has an offer?

It could be all BS. I guess my view is that even if you can make these guys lucrative NIL offers someone who just played in a natty isn't going to make a move to sit. If we were talking Bohanon or someone who is broken then maybe they would do it, but I also think Rhule's view is at odds with most of the Huskerverse in that he doesn't want to waste reps on a guy who isn't going to be here beyond a year. They've got Haarberg and while it's ugly as fuck, he did win some games and if you're Rhule and want to be in it for the long term why would you not want to give Kaelin every opportunity to develop into a guy who can seamlessly take over for Raiola when he goes to the draft (or portal or fishing in the waters of Lake Titicaca)?

I'm just hoping we get to play them real soon. Kirby doesn't ever comment publicly about things such as hating a coach, but you can tell he does when he gets to play them. Usually the camera catches him saying something on the sideline like "boom motherfucker!" or "fuck the motherfucker" like he did with Dan Mullen.
I love some good Kirby soundbites from the locker room firing up the team to whip some ass.

I doubt they'd need to pay this guy a huge NIL deal. I don't think anyone else will. And even if it is relatively modest by P5 standards his Nebraska NIL deal would probably a lot more than he'd get in FCS.

Rhule would be doing HH a favor - he could go back to TE

I don't think Rhule would want to throw Kaelin to the wolves if, say, Raiola got hurt in game two. You risk ruining him.

You also have the issue of not having enough real arms to properly run practices that can develop some of these young receivers, The young receivers need to be catching passes.

Good goddam... just waiting for those knees to explode.

I think it's more likely they add a practice arm than a guy who would be insurance in any meaningful way, but I guess we will see

Yesterday Georgia got

Then last night Georgia found out

We "might" have broken the Buford curse with KJ Bolden, but looks like UGA has now got a good ol' fashioned Polynesian curse.
1st Raiola and now this. Will report back later to let y'all know and to ask for tips on breaking international and cultural curses.

Nothing a little dog sacrifice couldn't cure.
