Some early struggles for Brice Matthews. I like the kid’s game. I think by the end of the year he’s really going to look like a different player at the plate. He’s currently giving you everything that Chick gives you, I think the upside is better with Brice as your every day 2B though.

Could BTN possibly be any cheaper and shittier with how they cover baseball? We have video. No commentating. No graphics to show runners on base. No radar gun. Nothing.

Just off the top of my head...

Could BTN subcontract through places like NET to get quality coverage? Or maybe a college in the area that has a sports broadcasting program and use some students to do this? It can’t get worse

That nasty curve that Schanaman had in the first couple of inning disappeared quickly and all he had after that was that fastball he had to come fat on. He’d be best suited for the bullpen. The thing is, I’m not sure if we have anyone better than him we can throw?

You can still tell we have a ways to go by the way we pitch. You can’t just throw average fastballs down the heart of the plate and get outs at this level. Help is certainly on the way in droves though.
